The video of French-born exotic dancer Alizee Sery (pictured) performing a strip tease on the sacred rock has stirred widespread outrage.

I did a little Googling and found her name is Alizee Jacotey and she is a singer, not a stripper. She's done some sexy music videos, but I found no nude images of her on the web. She might not set these maroons straight, though, as she's getting tons of free publicity.

I must say she looks lots better on the Rock than her critics would.

Savages,,, why is it that every native, including our own claim to “own” immense swaths of land. Basically they claim everything they see.

Because it all "kind of" belonged to them at one time. I say "kind of" because they had no real concept of private ownership of land, or much of anything else. Some exceptions in the US Northeast and Northwest, were the natives were less nomadic, or not nomadic at all.

Suppose the stripper was dancing on top of the National Cathedral or for that matter the Lincoln or Jefferson memorials? I think there would be plenty of folks more than a bit PO'd. Or to bring it closer to The Rock, at Mt. Rushmore or on top of the Old Man of the Mountain. I think you'd have more than a few PO'd Americans. What about at Gettyberg or Valley Forge?

Definitely. I don't think Jefferson himself would object, but others would as they would for Franklin.

If his wife wasn't buried there as well, Old Ben would likely be quite happy for the "performance" to be at his gravesite in Downtown Philidelphia. He really liked the French Ladies, and he could charm them in their own language too.
