Is anyone else having a problem getting on Free Republic or know why Free Republic will not load on my PC. I can only get to the website on my MAC. Everything other website working fine on my PC. Anyone who is experiencing difficulty is probably not able to get on to respond so this may be futile. But if anyone has an idea let know.

Your machine might just be loading pages slow. I know mine is right now.
Loads like lightning on my Droid.
It works better on my iPhone ... LOL ...
Well i obviously dont think that everyone with a PC is shutout or their would be much less posting on here
My PC with old fashioned dial-up connection is working fine.
Good luck figuring out your trouble. It’s not good when the FR site won’t work.

Maybe it’s cause you are using the term “MAC” ... Mac or Apple!
That happens to me on one of our computers. Sometimes loading the ip addy works. Sometimes it doesn’t. I have done a work-around by using a anonymous proxy service such as “hidemyass.com”. Granted, it seems that most people that use such services look at porn. Further, there are annoying advertisements.
But it worked for me when I couldn’t reach FR.
I had trouble today up until 5 minutes ago and I had trouble yesterday, too.
You need to clean out your PC’s Ethernet cable. Disconnect it from both the computer and your router/modem, then swing each end of the cable over your head, lasso-style, so the centrifugal force will dislodge the clogged electrons.
I can connect with my PC. You’d be better off simply freepmailing the Admin Moderator this question instead of posting a vanity thread.

My husband has been having issues with it loading on his PC for several days but I have had no problem at all with it loading on mine. He was claiming the site was down.....
I'm not sure that's the only problem. I've given the new IP to those at altfreerepublic who can't access FR. They still can't connect using 209.157.64.200.

That wasn’t nice. You know that won’t work. FIRST you have to go to the electric box and shut down your power for a minimum of two days...
I was wondering why the CEO of the fortune 50 company I work for was doing this when I went by his office just now.

Since Friday, it isn’t working well. Even today it take 2 mins to load a page.
I am here and accounted for on a good ol’ PC.
I think the server has been having some problems yesterday and today, but I’m on a PC here and my husband is on a PC at work and other than some downtime yesterday and a little slowness today, all seems to be okay.
