It's finally getting to me, this change in my country. Life is just not how it used to be and will never be that way again. There have been other life changes--my husband's more-or-less forced retirement, October 2008 at a job that is in the finance industry with the subsequent cutback in hours, and that wonderful time in a woman's life when everything sort of sags and stops.
Worst of all is the breakneck speed at which the norms, traditions, and the Constitution have been shoved aside for some young, upstart, radical Communist's agenda, czars, and that d*&*ED executive order pen. That is depressing because there seems to be no way to change the headlong plunge or even slow it down. November 2010? HAH! As if they'll let a real election occur. Most of those-called "Republicans" in Congress aren't helping either. Where are the real, USA-loving, Law-abiding MEN? Where are their principles?
I want things to go back to the way they were, but that's not going to happen---that is majorly depressing. Freddie, Fannie and their puppeteers ruined that scenario, not only for the U.S., but for the planet. Hope they are proud of themselves...
Okay, that's it, needed to rant. Thanks.
btw, germans surpassed anglos in war technology by FAR. it was british code breaking efforts combined with american massive manufacturing capacity that broke the germans. We(americans) threw more tanks and jeeps at them than they had bullets. And the british(with american helpers) code breakers told us where to throw the most “stuff” at them for the greatest effect.
otherwise, the germans had the whole world whupped. Like it or not, that is the facts jack.
Thank you annie. I really needed to hear that. You are spot on. Nothing else matters.
sure. good point. thats’ why there are so many communist countries around the world...and have been for so many generations. it’s because communism is destined to fail, RIGHT?
idiots.
wake up and quit drinking the american whiskey. we are as precarious as afghanistan or south korea. as long as you don’t beleive it there is a better chance you won’t see tomorrow. Our defense is in our isolation from the economic system. learn a trade and grow food. learn to barter. Become self sufficient.
It’s the same goddam thing we had to learn after the boston tea party!
YOU IDIOTS!
how many times must we relive history??
get your head out of your ass and get a fkn clue dammit.
Sometimes it’s best to walk vewy, vewy softly to approach the target,,, Lông Trắng once crawled four days and three nights for one shot,,, From him we learn patience...;0)
Are you aiming that thing at my head on purpose, or did you just pick me out of the crowd at random?
idiots.
You might want to take an accounting of all the former Communist countries around the world, friend. Of the two largest Communist countries, one fell completely apart, and the other beat feet it toward a free market economy before they suffered the same fate.
Of those countries who are still following a strict Communist/Socialist model, not one is flourishing worth a damn. All are crumbling in ways seen, and unseen.
Communism/Socialism does not work. It ALWAYS fails. That is the lesson of history.
Prolly couldn’t hit a bull in the ass with a banjo!!!...;0)
LOL
I looked up "luggard" in my big four-inch-thick Webster's dictionary and didn't see it there. A "luggar" is any of several large Asiatic falcons, however. I expect you meant "lug," or "stupid fellow."
You come across in the post as a hostile, angry, deranged, defensive, and frightened person. I don't see any "chess moves" on your part except to deride anyone who sees a postive side to this mess. You're in a panic, it seems to me.
Man, mame, you are just filled with fear, panic, and anger! What is your CONSTRUCTIVE advice other than to run for the mountains and call everybody else an asshole while you’re running? HMMMM????
But you aren't very cognizant of the obvious virtues of capitalism and free markets, let alone the sheer cultural superiority and therefore better morale of Americans over Germans; THAT is why we won the war. The Germans followed orders (have you ever read the Arms of Krupp? You might give it a try ... very informative) against their better judgment because it was and is so ingrained in their culture, and Americans of that era simply would not have done so because that type of obedience to authority has NEVER been ingrained in American culture.
And indeed, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, more Americans could claim German descent than of any other European nation; Germans settled much of Texas, cowboy yodeling came from German influence, and even American-style cowboy boots were said to have originated from German immigrants to America. Germans in Germany were losers even when they had the best technology; Germans in America helped foster one of the most quintessential of noble American images, the American cowboy.
You live in fear and sadly, you probably vote in fear. Vivir con miedo es vivir media. To live in fear is to half-live.
Yeah, and it's being done by one of our "own."
