Ten years ago, Tiger Woods won by 15 shots at Pebble Beach, but for the rest of the field there were other distractions.
This is the US Open and there is a Tiger in the room. It is just that nobody really wants to make eyes at him any more. Padraig Harrington nods and walks by. Lee Westwood makes a bit of small talk. But these days everyone is in love with Pebble and not with the man who 10 years ago turned it into his own beachfront property.

Pretty much all you could want to know about the The US Open, according to Wikipedia.

I think Jack Nicklaus’ record for most Major Titles is safe.
No one will ever be able to nail a hole like Tiger!
Really? I know Tiger has hit a rough spot, but I think he gets his mojo back at some point. A pending divorce has got to be extremely distracting. If Tom Watson can contend at the British at 60, I suspect Tiger has time to get his act together. One thing is for sure. The other players do not fear him any longer and that might be his biggest hurdle.
I see a pic of my irons, with the blue dot even!

Rule # 35:
If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron. --- Lee Trevino
Word is...Tiger started partying with a hardcore NBA group led by his pal Barkley...not good company to fall in with.
“It is just that nobody really wants to make eyes at him any more. Padraig Harrington nods and walks by. Lee Westwood makes a bit of small talk.”
Hahahaha...in other words, they now treat him like he used to treat them?
He just needs to go back to shagging strumpets. It keeps him focused.
I think the kid is done he has destroyed himself sad in a way but he is done
Actually, you're right. Get the divorce and move on. Then it's no one including your ex's business what you're doing and who you're with.
In the minds of many pros, I'm sure there will always be an asterisk next to every tournament he won...just like Barry Bonds. Tiger is a cheetah.
Brings an entirely new layer of meaning to “Mama, pick up the phone!”
Those are MY G5’s!! GREEN DOT
(still can’t hit a green in reg to save my life, always just a yard away...LOL!!)
Someday I will play Pebble...
I got a surprise yesterday. Jack showed up at my country club yesterday, for a clinic. He mentioned he’d celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary next month. Nuff said...
Yea and when he wins his next tournament you're probably gonna say "He got lucky, the kid is done, thats the last tournament he'll ever win........." LOL!
Thanks for making me feel really old!
I say you're wrong.......
It took Nicklaus 24 years to accumulate 18 majors and Woods already has 14 in just 11 years............
Nicklaus won his last major at the age of 46 which means that Woods, who is currently 34 years old, has 12 more years in which to win only 5 majors to surpass Nicklaus. Woods has already surpassed Snead who had only 7 Majors.
As far as total Tour wins, Nicklaus ended up with 73 in his 24 year span (1962 - '86)while Woods is already at 71 in 13 years (1996 - '09). Sam Snead ended up with 82 Tour wins....
Even an occasional Major win here and there over the next 12 years will likely see Woods surpass even the mighty Nicklaus....
