This is about a poll conducted on what American citizens would do if Obama somehow managed to get the UN Treaty that is being written now passed in the Senate. I wouldn't put it past them as no one thought they'd ram Health Care down our throats. Who knows what arm twisting they could pull off. I don't think Americans believe he can pull it off. I sure hope not but with all that is going on I am not totally optimistic that he will fail.

And how many dictators has the United Nations removed from power?
Oh wait, they are a PRO-dictator organization and anti-US. Get them out of here. Corrupt to the bone.

It could pass the Senate.

(Obama is either incompetent or malicious, and it makes little difference which.)

Remember, it’s two thirds necessary for ratification, not the 60 they used for Obamacare. Unless something untoward happens to the entire Republican delegation, this will NEVER be ratified.

It’s quite evident that 0 can do whatever he pleases, despite all the Texas-style tough talk from opponents.

See the 14th Amendment!

There is a mechanism whereby the President can make this happen (a treaty) unilaterally and have force of law, no congress required.

I only know that Hussein’s gun collectors will have a very bad time when they come up my driveway.

Not a Revolution. A Rebellion.

Koo Koo...Koo Koo...Koo Koo.
Who did they poll? The article and the web site seem even too kooky for me.
To: DebraAI
I don’t even own a gun. But if they get this through, I’ll meet you guys at the mall in DC. We’ll make sure they hear us.

Would that be the Treaty Czar?
To: DebraAI
No they won't. If gun confiscation occurs then 95% of gun owners will willingly turn over their guns for “compensation,” even if that's just an agreement to not be prosecuted and spending years in prison. The rest will hide their guns and think they're rebelling by not turning them in, but virtually nobody will strike back offensively.
People are too comfortable in their lives to have another revolution. Besides, the only way a revolution could be fought again is through the use of explosives. Those that do use explosives are derided by even 2nd amendment advocates. Revolution requires offensive strikes, not just hiding a gun in your attic insulation “just in case.”

Welcome to FR.
I haven't heard of the source you quote. No matter, it would sure be great target practice on blue helmets, U.S. Sen...., etc..

It could, but we would be looking to replace a lot dead Senators pretty quickly. Don’t know if that qualifies as a revolution as much as a “do over”.
To: OldDeckHand
Never say never. RINO's aren't real strong on 2A issues.
But yeah... This would cause an Epic sh*t storm as folks like me figure we've got nothing left to lose.
