Just like the SouthWest Conference; it was bandaided for a year (or two?), then folded, dissolved, and became part of the Big 12, and C-USA.
Utah and TCU. And the MWC gets f’ed again after adding Boise State.
The worst thing about this is that the despicable BCS system gets propped up for another few years.
From what I've heard, it hasn't been that profitable and, besides, the championship game has screwed up some BCS berths in the past for the Big 12, so you have one less hurdle to a Big 12 team making the title game and getting the money that goes along with it.

Doubtful because it drains the finances...makes the TV pie cuts much smaller as they bring little to the table.
They also don’t care about the championship game...some of the schools have hated it.
