Watching soccer is like watching grass grow.

We tied! We tied! What excitement. Maybe the Stanley Cup final should allow ties, or the 7th game of the World Series.
Who won? Nobody did, we tied! Whoo hoo! :)

Those announcers drove me nuts. Sounded Brit but seemed to not like the Brits. Probably Afrikaners. The USA team really did not look like Americans. The dressed in all white was UK and the navy blue was apparently our shining example of American manhood (what no Asians? Hispanics? but we had the obligatory high profile Black dressed in all red - goalie Howard). Then I recalled Chariots of Fire - all white again. Running on the beach. But the high-pitched whine sounded more like an airport tarmac or Indy 500 than a soccer game. They must have has predator drones high over head looking for trouble makers.

This is actually a GREAT result because England is supposed to have one of the best teams in the tournament. Methinks that the English--not used to playing at the 1,500 meter (4,921 feet) altitude where the stadium in located, were starting to "run on fumes" near the end of the game.

ESPN 2 is scheduled to have a replay of every exciting minute (and the other 89 also) at 3am EDT.

The hatred people have for soccer is odd. I don’t like NASCAR but I hardly go into NASCAR threads and tell people how boring it is to watch people making left turns around an oval a few hundred times.
