I doubt he 'confessed', I suspect they have the evidence he did it, video, DNA and his body is probably marred with the struggle... Then of course there is that laptop which no doubt the authorities have. He probably was offered better conditions and a shorter prison time IF he admitted what the evidence demonstrates...
He most likely figured out he would never leave Peru alive, and his days of terrorizing women are at an end.
Maybe he had records on there relating to other more current things he was involved with, who knows... I guess we'll find out eventually.

Wonder just what he had on his laptop that was so terrible about Natalee that he had to kill Stephany. Maybe cell phone photos of her before being thrown in the ocean? An email to his ‘buddies’ that covered for him about that night?

I give the Peruvian police big props. They did what the Aruban police could not do(Or refused to do since Daddy Dearest was the big guy on campus over there). They get Joran to confess in what, 2 days tops..maybe if Aruban police had done their damn job instead of sucking up to the Van Der Sloot’s Stephany would be alive today

this puts pressure on the Kalpoe brothers. They don’t know what he’s saying that pertains to them. They have to be thinking of rolling over on Vanderwhatsisname before he rolls over on them.

Yes, he was on the run (again) after he killed this gal. Why he killed her was the mystery, and so she was messing with his laptop. Not really a thing to kill over unless there was something on it he could not let her know.
Of course I can only guess why he would confess, there is no doubt he and she went to his room and only he is seen leaving in different clothes and his luggage. Leaving instructions for the staff to not bother his girl.

Interesting take on those Kalpoe bros. If they spill the beans that makes them accomplices to a murder. If Joran confesses and/or implicates them as well they will have to defend their position or confess as well.
