I just posted this to another thread; I wonder what language he had set on the laptop ? Could she read Dutch ? Unlikely. One other thing, much has been made of the front desk holding his passport, so how did he get into Chile ? Must’ve had a second passport ?

I heard earlier today that Joran is fluent in Spanish. Who knows what language he used on his laptop, could have been in English.

I do not know anything about the passport situation. But apparently he was already being 'hunted' halfheartedly by US for extortion attempt on someone from Alabama. They had to goods on him but let him leave and off to Peru he went.

The extortion was to tell what happened to Natalie and where her remains were put. So given he was dealing with people/person in Alabama he could have left open something in English about $$$$$ he was extorting to go gamble in Peru. We won't know until they publish what is found on his laptop.

“and only people who did not return the forms are being contacted.”

I wish that were true in my neighborhood. I sent mine back filled out in full and the will. not. leave. me. alone.

That said, hopefully Joran’s experience of the Peruvian justice system will be nasty, brutish, and short. Well, I should say, short, but not too short.

The murdered girl’s father is one of the most powerful men in Peru. Joran is about to learn a new way to party.

Attempts to reach Valentijn van Der Sloot were unsuccessful.

He's partying in Aruba, looks just like his brother, bet he regrets that.

According to police, Van der Sloot killed 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez because she saw ’something’ about Natalee Holloway on his laptop.

“I did not want to do it,” Van der Sloot said in his confession. “The girl saw private things. She had no right. I approached her and she was scared,” he continued.

******

Security surrounding Dutch homicide suspect Joran van der Sloot tightened after prison guards learned of a possible suicide attempt, Peruvian officials said.

Joran’s mother, artist and teacher Anita van der Sloot was shocked by the reports regarding her son, says the Dutch lawyer of Bert de Rooij in the Dutch press. De Rooij, who represented Joran in the Netherlands, states that the arrest and the new imputations have caused the family much sorrow. Meanwhile, others are very happy with the apprehension of ‘that psychopath’ as he is called on the streets. Reactions on the island on the murder and Joran’s arrest vary from ‘finally justice’ to appeals to castrate him, rape or even hang him.

Holloway Suspect’s Brother Attends College In Boston Joran van der Sloot’s Brother Attends Emerson College 6:07 pm EDT June 4, 2010 BOSTON — The brother of the Dutchman suspected in a teen’s Caribbean island disappearance and the murder of a woman in Peru is a student at a Boston college. Joran van der Sloot’s brother, Valentijn van Der Sloot, attends Emerson College and is currently enrolled in the Class of 2012, the college confirmed. Joran van der Sloot remains the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba. He is now facing charges in the murder of Stephany Flores, 21, who was found with her neck broken in Van der Sloot’s Lima hotel room. Attempts to reach Valentijn van Der Sloot were unsuccessful.

I did not know Joran had any siblings. My guess is his (Valentijn) life as he knew it, is over as well. It is a relief that Joran's reign of terror is over. I take no joy in all the lives Joran has ruined, even his own.

I expect the party will end rather abruptly and not in the usual way...

I don’t know much about the Peruvian justice system, but I’m curious about why he would confess after all these years of denial over the Halloway girl and getting away with it. I wonder if they’re fast-tracking him. Not my ideal form of justice, but in his case I might be willing to make an exception.

Valentijn Van der Sloot ‘12
Aruba
Undergraduate Student in Media Productions: Film

Valentijn Van Der Sloot is still getting used to the weather in Boston. From Aruba, he used to go to the beach and kite-surf. He is the Commercial Producer for Emerson Independent Video (EIV), a photographer for Emmagazine, and a member of Developed Images, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, and the Emerson Channel.

How did you first hear about Emerson College?

I initially heard about Emerson through a friend of mine in Aruba.

Luckily, having one sociopath in the family doesn’t usually mean that there are more. Perhaps his brothers are perfectly fine human beings who have just had to live in the shadow of that pig.

Appears the siblings are both younger. I get the impression that their lives have been dominated by their older brother's antics and they sought a place to escape. Reads like Joron has been troubled all his life and nobody until now said enough is enough.

Get over it. Someone said they didn't know Joran had any siblings and I posted that he had two.

Unless you are the posting police back off.

Natalee's aunt is a good friend of mine so I don't give a damn about any of Joran’s ‘family’, period. They can all rot in hell.
