NEW YORK, - U.S. sitcom "Seinfeld" has earned $2.7 billion since it ended its 9-season run in 1998, said Time Warner, the show's owner.
The New York Post called the series -- starring Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Michael Richards and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a group of neurotic friends living in Manhattan -- the most profitable 30-minute program in TV history.
The show's earnings since it ended have come from syndication rights and DVD sales, with the sitcom's co-creators Seinfeld and Larry David alone having made hundreds of millions of dollars from the airing of "Seinfeld" reruns, the newspaper noted.

Seinfeld was sitting next to Obama and another WH bash this weekend.
I wonder if he got an earful about how much money is enough?

George Soros and Warren Buffett really have enough too. I wonder if obama is telling them they have enough?
Soros’ corporation doesn’t pay taxes to the USA anyway. He moved his HQ to the Bahamas to avoid US taxes.
They really don’t need all they have. Therefore, government should take their wealth .... if you really want to re-distribute the wealth.

I wonder if he got an earful about how much money is enough? We all know that actors and everyone else who are leftist can have as much as they want.
On the other hand, if you create a product, start a business, and then become successful, then you have limits. Unless, again, you are a leftist or donate to the democrats.

People say that Kramer or George were the funniest, but I think Seinfeld himself stole the show. His sardonic, dry brand of humor of his, the way he’d put down George with a straight face was absolutely hilarious. One example was the manure episode, where George steps in a pile a poo and tries to rationalize it to a girl he was trying to get.

A fellow from my brother’s high-school class was one of the writers for this show.
Yep, he is one of the wealthiest and most successful from that class.

I wonder if he got an earful about how much money is enough? ----------------------------------------------------------- Ha! Only applies to those who can be demagogued and scapegoated. Popular showbiz people are therefore exempt.

Nah, it was a show about George. Without George, it really WOULD have been a show about nothing. The Kramer character peaked early in the show—for the last half of the run, he really got on my nerves.

Just in case anyone was wondering how Laurie David can afford to fly private jets around the world to lecture the rest of us on how evil we are if we don't walk to the store with dirty, re-used cloth bags to carry back the groceries.

Not sure if it was intended, but it seemed to me that George, Kramer and Elaine were all aspects of Seinfeld's personality. George was the Id, Kramer was the insane side, and Elaine was the sexual side. Each of them was an aspect of Seinfeld, but exaggerated.
The show created more catch phrases and terms than any other show in TV history.
