People say that Kramer or George were the funniest, but I think Seinfeld himself stole the show. His sardonic, dry brand of humor of his, the way he’d put down George with a straight face was absolutely hilarious. One example was the manure episode, where George steps in a pile a poo and tries to rationalize it to a girl he was trying to get.
George has always been my favorite charicter.
Nah, it was a show about George. Without George, it really WOULD have been a show about nothing. The Kramer character peaked early in the show—for the last half of the run, he really got on my nerves.
The show created more catch phrases and terms than any other show in TV history.

Nah. At best just supporting characters to Elaine. It was always the Elaine show, although it was several years into the series before I realized this when I finally saw a syndicated rerun of the “can’t spare a square” episode. Only then did I began to regularly watch the Elaine show.
George ranks just below Elaine, then Jerry, then Peterman, then Kramer.
