REXBURG Police arrested a woman on Wednesday for embezzling more than $105,000 from a Rexburg law firm where she worked.
Jennifer Handy, 31, of Rexburg, has been charged with four counts of grand theft.
She is being held in the Madison County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis said the thefts occurred on four separate occasions between January 2008 and April 2010.
Police declined to name the law firm at this stage of the investigation.
He said Handy had access to the law firms bank accounts during that time period.
The potential penalty for grand theft is up to 14 years imprisonment and from $1,000 to $5,000 in fines.

Rexburg is a relatively small Idaho town. Home of BYU-Rexburg. Not too many 31 yo Jennifer Handy(s) I am sure. And the short-haired pictures seem to match.
So according to this Facebook profile of a 31 yo Jennifer Handy who says she lives in Rexburg, Idaho, she already was earning between $75,000 to $100,000:

The profile also mentions her religion.

And.....if her religeon is Christian based she obviously never made a personal break through in the commandment Thou shall not Steal.
Or did the devil make her do it.../sarc

Hey, I’ve got a great idea. Let’s steal money from a bunch of lawyers. What could possibly go wrong?

And.....if her religeon is Christian based she obviously never made a personal break through in the commandment Thou shall not Steal.Per this My Space profile, she is not "Christian" but is "Mormon". (Yeah, Mormons try to honor the 10 Commandments too, but Jesus didn't speak well of legalistic religions when describing Pharisees on the inside)

Embezzlement........what a stupid form of theft.
Did she think they would just go “oh, man money is missing, oh well”.

I just looked at her profile.
Anyone who has a personal profile page so cluttered, and disorganized should be arrested for that alone.

Isn't stealing from a lawyer like raping a prostitute?
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

"being Mormon is like being Jewish what you are born into don't always mean you are converted!"Wrong Resty, one must be baptised and then confirmed a member of the church.
I'm surprised you don't even know how your own church operates.

The best lawyer story.......told on Dateline.
One of the law clerks received an email from Nigeria.
She then started sending lawyer money to the emailer until she had cleaned out the lawyers accounts....to the tune of some $2.1 million.
