Chances are you sprinkle cinnamon into your morning oatmeal or add a dash of oregano to pizza without giving the spices much thought. But did you know your favorite flavors can actually do your body good? According to Christina Suarez, master herbalist and owner of TheGoodHerbCo.com, while spices are only effective when eaten at least daily, each has its own specific health benefits. Read on to find out which additives can burn fat, ease a sore throat or help you get to sleep, and how you can incorporate them into your daily diet.

My wife swears by Cherokee Hair Tampons (tm).
Cinnamon also has beneficial benefits for diabetics — it can lower blood sugar.
Interesting. Cinnamon is one of my favourites to use in various ways.
Quick! Let’s regulate it!
I just love all of those prescription med commercials when it takes the narrator 15 minutes to lists all of the side effects! My current fave is Chantix. I’m pretty sure that smoking cigarettes is healthier than taking this drug to help you quit.
No surprises, I believe there is a cure for just about everything in nature. I could go on but I would start preaching if I did.
I keep recommending Anticancer by Dr. David Servan-Schreiber. It is a great read and all of his info is backed up by medical studies. Fascinating book.
I'm sure they're working on it.
You're not too far off with that idea. There are some who hold to the theory that cancer is really just a deficiency in vitamin B17 (which is very hard to get through your diet) along the same lines as rickets and scurvy.
The “conspiracy theory” is that is why the FDA bans the sale of vitamin B17 supplements in stores. You can order it online, but you will never find it in a store. I heard on a health video (can't remember the doctor's name) that in the 80’s the FDA raided health food stores and pulled all the B17 off the shelves.
Cancer is a HUGE business and billions would be lost if it turns out to be completely preventable.
Disclaimer: I don't know if I believe this, I've heard about it a few times over the last 10 years and have yet to order B17 for my family. And I don't have a tin foil hat ;).

Its my understanding that ginger helps with motion sickness and other naseau generating activities.
My daughter gets car sick, so I tried giving her ginger before our last trip. Didn’t work.
Then I learned that the ginger has to be taken a day BEFORE the car trip. We will try it again on our next trip.
So called herbal medicines have their side effects, also. I prefer a real natural solution. For instance, instead of taking St. John’s Wort to lift your mood, go outside and get sunshine.
I use hot chili to cure chest colds.
