Microwave popcorn ? No thanks . Popped in olive oil and sprinkled with a modicum of salt works for me .
When I was in college, we used to liberally apply seasoning salt to the popcorn.
I love to flavor my (properly popped on the stove, not micro-waved) popcorn with chili pepper and tamari soy sauce but I think I’ll try it next time, maybe for breakfast, with tamari and tabasco. That sounds so good!
Popcorn? C’mon, if you want a quality snack, do it up right:
2 cans of crap meat (or fresh if you can get it)
2 packages of Philadelphia Creme Cheese
1/2 cup of chopped/minced onions
1/2 cup of almonds (or cashews), crushed.
Mix all ingredients together in a pyrex bowl, (helps to leave cheese out for a half hour to let it soften up) then put in the oven (325 degrees c) for 20 to 30 minutes or until mildly toasty on top.
Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, use favorite chip (I like wheat thins) to dip, ENJOY! :)
Had to log in to share this. A perfect blend.
I pop my popcorn (never the microwave bags, although I use a microwave popcorn popper and put the kernels in it), then season with olive oil and ume plum vinegar. I then sprinkle dill weed, nutrional yeast, and maybe some garlic, onto that (add after the olive oil and plum vinegar so the yeast and dill stick to the liquid). And there you go!
If you pop your own popcorn add the hot sauce to your oil before popping.
Mrs. LRS- “Snack early and often”...
Do you mean "germane" (i.e., "relevant")?
Regards,
Buffalo popcorn.
Pop the & salt the popcorn - meanwhile in small pan on stove - melt butter - put in Texas Pete hot sauce - add a dash of celery seed - pour over popcorn - sprinkle on fine dust of blue cheese.
Caramel corn.
Or melt butter add a little Karo light corn syrup - 1/2 cup brown sugar - pinch of salt. Pour over popcorn - mix well.
Pop some regular popcorn over the stove and hit it with salt, once it has been popped. Skip the butter.
Very low calorie snack.

I like to sprinkle some romano cheese on my popcorn.
Pour a box of Junior Mints over your bowl of popcorn.
They do make popcorn seasonings to sprinkle over. I have ‘Kernel Seasons’ Parmesan-Garlic and White Cheddar seasonings. However, one of MY favorites is J & D’s BaconSalt! Bacon salt makes the popcorn taste EXTRA yummy!
(Not only that, but the company supports our troops overseas with “Operation BaconSalt”. They send pallets of the stuff for free to distribute to our troops in Iraq & Afghanistan. Buying this product helps a company that helps our troops!)
Get your wife up to make popcorn and get you a soda.
I sometimes throw a few crispy strips of bacon in the food processor, pulverize it and get some bacon dust. Then I sprinkle over the corn. mmmmm, bacon corn.....

Nothing to add to the discussion on various ways to eat popcorn, just wanted to thank you for bringing back some memories of what I thought was the best written comedy show on TV. Sure wish it were still running. Thank heavens for re-runs.
Don’t do popcorn that often but my favorite summer TV snack is frozen seedless grapes.
