Crawfish Information Page
According to Cajun folk-lore, the crawfish of Louisiana were originally lobsters in Nova Scotia who followed the Acadians into exile. The rigors of the journey took such a toll that they all shrank from a few pounds to a few ounces.

If you eat raw crawdads, you deserve worms.

You can also get worms that will crawl out your nose from eating some types of sushi.
There are creatures out there that consider us food.

Raw meats.... I dunno.
My dad used to make raw hamburger sandwiches with a slice of onion, I could never do it.
Once in a while when I buy a steak, I will slice off a small piece and eat it maybe with a clove of garlic. And raw clams - very rarely.
But you have to be REALLY careful with food. And fire is cheaper than losing a lung!!

My, what an unusual way to get worms - eating raw meat or fish. Trichinosis, tapeworms, roundworms, lung flukes, liver flukes all occur from consuming undercooked pork, beef, fish or shellfish.
Parasites like this, and some others would disappear if people cooked their food thoroughly, wore shoes and washed their hands after handling food or toileting. Public health is easy.
