The creature from the deep
Mystery ... the creature was dragged from the lake

THE body of a mysterious creature with fearsome teeth, thick black fur and a rat-like tail has been dragged from a lake.
The hideous beast was discovered by two horrified nurses after their dog Sam pulled it from the murky water.
The gruesome animal has baffled experts and triggered speculation that it could be similar to the famous "Montauk monster", which was washed up in New York two years ago.
Pictures were posted on a local website after nurses Joseph Murrillo and Kelly Hick found the unidentified creature while they were hiking on the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug reservation in Canada.
The mutant animal is bald on its face, head and feet and has tusk-like teeth.
The grisly online snaps came with an explanation that read: "The dog jumped in the lake and pulled the creature to the rocks and dragged it out for the hikers to see and these are the photos they took.
"The creature's tail is like a rat's tail and it is a foot long."
Bloggers have now been speculating about what the animal is. Some have suggested that it looks similar to an otter with the face of a boar-like animal.
One posted online: "There are experienced hunters that have been around for decades. They have 'trap lines' which refer to as hunting grounds. And in all these years they have never seen anything like this."
Another said: "That certainly is a face only a mother can love. It looks like some sort of otter, weasel-type thing."
It has been compared to the monster found in Montauk in 2008. It was never officially identified.

Give me a tooth count. Bet it’s an otter. Hair slips from skin on tail and head from being submerged.
May be of interest.
(Call Monster Quest lol)
Looks like Helen Thomas.
I’ll bet it doesn’t.
Really bad haircut.
Soaked boar?
I’d bet you’re right.
?
:)
The hair on this animal looks like otter.
Montauk Monster websites have lots of pix
of what look like giant tortoises without
their shell.
I’m no marine biologist, but really....!
We need to remove humans from the region, we have discovered a new endangered species that is getting killed by oil exploration in the area./sarc
Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug reservation
Just a decaying otter or seal.
Monster Quest would have already discovered this except on the day they were supposed to go out on expedition, the tailgate on the truck didn't work, someone forgot to set the alarm clock, it was too wet, it was too dry, it wasn't quite wet or dry enough, the creature mysteriously found the one camera that didn't work, the sun was in their eyes,.... Something, always something but they were just this close (all said with the tone of breathless anticipation).
It is a dog cross-breed gone wrong.
Pit-Bull & dachshund. Probably had a birth defect, was euthanized and dumped in the river.
I hope they find a more pronouncable name for besides the Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug Monster.
LOL!!! That about sums it up!
