I could never get into the show but Hawaii Five-O still has the all time best theme song.

Honorable mention to Peter Gunn.

.....guess the remakes making returns is another indication there is scant talent in Hollywood to be successfully creators.

Who’s playing Steve McGarrett? And bring back Kam Fong as Chin Ho Kelly, and Zulu as Kono!

I dunno, I think that the "Dog" would do a fine job. He seems to get his bail-jumpers in 30 minutes or less.

Yes, Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, preached one of the most eloguent anti-gun sermons I’ve ever seen on Hawaii 5-0. Not even David Caruso could deliver such a smarmy, obmoxious, and condescending “Americans are a bunch of gun-crazy lunatics” message.

Does it have the same leftist point of view as the original show?

I listened to the new theme song at the link; not bad. They strike a nice balance with the original show it looks like.

I dunno. I remember McGarritt kicking a lot of hippies on the old show. I don’t remember it as being particularly leftist.

I like the opening of the original show much better. The music is better, too.

It was very preachy in its anti-gun ideology.

McGarrett: “What is it with this love affair that Americans have with guns?!”

They do need a big Hawaiian. This looks a little too much like Walker: Hawaiian Ranger...
