Adultery is one cause for divorce that the Bible allows.

Hey man, I didn’t mean it that way!!

Maybe “cellar liberals” would have been a better term.

“I don’t disagree with her particularly, but I would prefer to see the word “marriage,” reserved for the religious bond (and therefore each religion gets to decide who can be “married” within their church) while all anyone, gay or straight, can get from the state is a domestic partnership agreement.”

Agreed mostly :-). I wouldn’t let a single law redefine the meaning of a word. Before you know it, there will be lawsuits and referendums on the definitions of “liberty” and “individual”.

The only other choice, as you mentioned, is to take marriage out of the Government’s vernacular. Seriously, why should the government use a religious term to define a domestic partnership?

It seems the left is all for the separation of church and state except when it comes to gay marriage. I seriously think these moonbats WANT a legal precedence for the redefinition of a word. /tin foil hat off :-)!

Give it up. Bush endorsed the marriage amendment to the Constitution.

You Bush haters are pathetic.

You don't deserve posting privileges at FR imho. You are a liberal spewing poison. Homosexuality is not normal and a true conservative should never ever accept it as normal. You sir/madam belong on another forum. I hope you get banned here because it is hard enough just getting through each day's cultural and political poison that is continually piped in on the news that we shouldn't have to see the same bullshit being advocated by a so called member of FR. You have the reasoning of the amoeba over at DU.

You are brain dead or a deliberate liar. George Bush is most assuredly a conservative in every sense of the word. He supported, endorsed and campaigned for the Republican marriage amendment to the Constitution.

Disturbing. Many liked her, and this provides a little more legitimacy to those who are determined to destroy the family. This has nothing to do with gay rights, but everything with harming the institution of marriage. Shame on Laura.

Because to their way of thinking, their lifestyle IS normal.

So they want to declare what IS and IS not a sin for all people then...

Or will those who follow the Bible be permitted to continue calling it "sin" even if it is now legal (as is adultery).

Bush tried to appoint an inexperienced family hack attorney to SCOTUS

Bush opposed English as an official language bill

Bush supported outsourcing our Port security to Dubai

Bush felt Islam was a “peaceful” religion

Bush bailed out collapsing businesses with taxpayer dollars

Bush spent money like a drunken sailor - only eclipsed by his even more inept successor

Bush appointed another family hack to head FEMA and was thus caught with his pants down with Hurricane Katrina

Bush mismanaged public policy so much it helped set the stage for a Marxist Muslim to succeed him in the opposing party.

Bush did nothing - NADA - to stop a sea of illegal alien from invading America

Bush performed proskensis before Mexico on many subjects

Bush persecuted American boarder guards trying to protect us against illegal alien drug pushers

The Bush adminstration was responsible for idiotic rules of engagement imposed on our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Bush did a miserable job explaining why it was important to get involved in Iraq

Bush failed to stop the marketing of dangerous and inferior Chinese made medicines, food products and other goods here in America

Bush appointed or maintained a host of mediocrities such as Alberto Gonzales, Chrissie Whitman, Tom Kean Senior, etc.

Should I go on?

Bushbots. They never give up.

Prove it. Show one vote GHW Bush gave for "Choice". It never happened.

As president he vetoed a bill that would have funded DC abortions and he demanded all presidential appointees be pro-life.

The “creator of the universe thinks” Laura is the lovely and powerless wife of a dedicated and fearless ally of Life, who was being diplomatic on a TV show no one watches, but Bush haters.
