FWIW, if you look at Texas' northeastern border, you will see that it is a due N-S line between the point where the 32nd parallel intersects the Sabine River and the Red River to the north. About halfway up, at the 33rd parallel, that line is joined on the east by the joint AR/LA border, at a point called (what else) "Three States".
My place is 4.5 miles SW of that point.

At least as useful was the horse collar. It enabled efficient use of the plough, efficient transportation, grinding of grain, raising of water and all manner of muscle powered activities.
