EMP could leave '9 out of 10 Americans dead'
WorldNetDaily ^ | May 3, 2010 | Joseph Farah

There is renewed alarm about the possibility of an EMP attack – electromagnetic pulse – on the United States because of Iran's work on a multi-stage Space Launch Vehicle, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

And experts forecast if such an attack were a success, it effectively could throw the U.S. back into an age of agriculture.

"Within a year of that attack, nine out of 10 Americans would be dead, because we can't support a population of the present size in urban centers and the like without electricity," said Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy. "And that is exactly what I believe the Iranians are working towards."

A recent launch of an SLV by Iran has sparked renewed concern of an attack that could send an electromagnetic pulse powerful enough to wipe out computer controls for systems on which society has come to rely, officials say.

As the G2 Bulletin reported last week, Ronald Burgess, director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, revealed that Iran successfully launched a multi-stage SLV, the Simorgh. The device ultimately could be equipped with a nuclear bomb, which the U.S. intelligence community assesses Iran is developing.

Officials also report Iran has been testing detonation of its nuclear-capable missiles by remote control while still in high-altitude flight...

You can survive on less than perfect water, which is what would start happening.

In 1941 I was a lad on a dirt farm on a dirt road in North Louisiana. There was a massive Army maneuver in the area that fall, and literally thousands of troops passed our place. We had an open well right by the road, mostly to supply water to the livestock. I saw many soldiers, both officers and enlisted, stop and fill their canteens from our well. I'm sure even back then they were told not to do it, but I guess they were thirsty. Of course we did have another well that we used for household purposes, but it was the same shallow well water. Most of us survived.

Remember when New York had the electric shortage? The residents were sleeping on the streets and sidewalks, for they could not open their doors with the fancy electronic locks.

I sure do remember it, but we didn't have that problem. The area we were in doesn't have enough money for those kind of fancy locks.

Yea, I am not concerned. We have Obama in the Whitey House and Napolitano at DHS — what is there to worry about?

In other words.....we're as good as dead. Oh joy.

We may lose a lot. But anybody who detonates a nuke above the US will lose everything.

Uh....not necessarily. It depends upon which country attacked us. If it was a Muslim country, our current Muslim CIC would probably just let it slide.

"WalMart sells OTC insulin for 10 mL / $22. I’ve been stockpiling."

Pardon my ignorance on the subject, but....I thought I read somewhere that insulin requires refrigeration. Yes? No?

Yes, it does. If it heats to body temperature, it becomes active. I’m buying another couple of vials this weekend for $44 (one R, one N).

Did he really? I didn’t know that. It is a shame, I would have expected him to be more skeptical about claims like AGW.

They tell me to catch up with the new century and quit clinging to my old things.

LOL, my old ways work better than the new, are paid for and don’t all depend on electricity.
