Finally, all the talk about Tiger Woods was mostly about his golf.
In a shocking meltdown yesterday at the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, N.C., Woods missed the cut for only the sixth time in his career with a performance that was incomparable for all the wrong reasons.

I’m deeply, deeply saddened.
Not.
That hubris stuff can sometimes be a bitch.
So you won’t be watching the Steelers ever again?

I have a different take on this. I think he missed the cut on purpose.
After the debacle at The Masters where he swore and acted extremely boorish at his departure interview, I think his handlers saw that the public was starting to turn on him.
I think they knew that he had to turn it around quickly, ergo his late acceptance of a spot at Quail Hollow.
This week he played poorly but didn’t curse and was a little more gracious when interviewed.
