I’m deeply, deeply saddened.
Not.
That hubris stuff can sometimes be a bitch.
Lately all you can read are touchy feely articles proclaiming Phil to be a saint or stories about Wood’s sex life. Enough personal interest already. Is the focus finally on golf again?
Is this all he is missing?
So can he put it back together again? Or do the sponsors begin trickling away, causing money issues which adds more stress and pressure?

A long time ago when I was a very young Airman one old Staff Sergeant gave me some very good advice. He told me that everytime a man thinks with the head of his d*** all it does is get him in trouble. Never seen it fail.
I have a different take on this. I think he missed the cut on purpose.
After the debacle at The Masters where he swore and acted extremely boorish at his departure interview, I think his handlers saw that the public was starting to turn on him.
I think they knew that he had to turn it around quickly, ergo his late acceptance of a spot at Quail Hollow.
This week he played poorly but didn’t curse and was a little more gracious when interviewed.
I get the feeling that Tiger wasn’t really interested in this tournament, but didn’t want to back out, so he probably played his way out. I think he knows his Masters’ return was a PR disaster, and his heart is not really into golf yet.
Sooner of later golf humbles us all.
