Just a message for the Anti-Palin crowd

Posted on 04/21/2010 9:12:01 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

To those of you who go into every Sarah Palin thread with your anti-Palin talking points and repeating everything you hear on ABC, NBC or CBS.

I have a question for you personally. This is a personal question.

What are you doing to further our cause in a time of grave national and international crisis ?

Have you traveled to dozens of states in the last few months ? (Sarah Palin has)

also,

How is the view from the peanut gallery ?

and

How is the breakfast with your Democratic friends down at the local Holiday Inn ?

Please get a life. You are doing nothing to further our cause. Do some soul searching, it must seem like a worthless existance spending your time on the net attacking one person with such vigor and such venom. I hope for a big purge and I hope it is soon.

“McCain is horrible no doubt.

But so is Ron Paul.

McCain is a progressive RINO. Paul is a loon.”

We are in agreement. Palin disagrees with us.

The next presidential election could be the end of our country as we know it, or it can be the beginning of better days. The person we choose for our next presidential candidate had better have a better than average chance of winning.

I am fortunate in that I do not suffer from any candidate “Syndrome”.......yet. I remember Fred Thompson and how I thought he’d make a fine president. Folks were arguing about him all over cyberspace back in the last election cycle. Palin may not run and all of this bickering will have been a waste of time, as it was with Fred.

“And loyalty to a RINO is the last thing I want to see when it comes to one of our conservative leaders.”

It’s not rocket science. McCain chose her and put her on the national stage. If she would have ignored McCain...every media outlet and every Romney establishment stooge would have crushed her for dissing McCain.

If you want a conservative leader, fine one for the RNC.

We need a President that is conservative and can get votes.

No. McCain is a RINO progressive.

Thank you. One more question if you might kindly indulge me,

"If McCain is a RINO progressive, and Sarah Palin says that she shares John McCain's vision for America, does that suggest that Sarah is, or is not, a true conservative?"

While you're pondering that, I'll continue:

I answered your question, now you answer mine. Name a credible candidate that is known by more than 3% of the people, who can take on RINO Romney, and is a conservative.

At this point, I would have to say that out of a very limited field, the only credible candidate would be Fred Thompson. Unfortunately Fred has also endorsed the RINO John McCain so we're back to square one. But Thompson has not been beating the drum incessantly as has Sarah Palin, and has not been trumpeting how he "shares McCain's vision for America". Thompson's endorsement smacks more of a "good old boys club" endorsement, while Sarah's fervent campaigning suggests that she indeed, is of the same mindset as McCain. And that should be disturbing to ANY conservative being honest with themselves.

When you present this alternative to Palin I’ll consider them.

Stay tuned. It's a long way to primary season. But I will predict this: Romney is toast already.

I love Duncan Hunter...I think he would make a great President, especially after this nightmare I am living through right now. We may be surprised what people will be looking for in a candidate by next year!

Bill Clinton has made millions speaking all around the world as well as America.

Why do you put down Sarah in a snide way, and believe it is fine for Clinton to do the same thing ... make money for speaking?

Really?

RE :”It would indeed.”On June 23, 1969, Cleveland's oily, contaminated Cuyahoga River caught fire. Flames climbed as high as five stories until fireboats brought it under control. The fire was attributed to wastes dumped into the river by the waterfront industries.” Only in Ohio.

I think ‘se’ is trying to say that the troll’s opinions must be banned to elect Sarah Palin in 2012 so she can stop Obama from taking away our free speech because he is a Marxist.

Unless she decides not to run, the whole plan breaks down then, when the trolls lose their speech twice. But heck, they are trolls!

“”If McCain is a RINO progressive, and Sarah Palin says that she shares John McCain’s vision for America, does that suggest that Sarah is, or is not, a true conservative?”

I think it is pretty obvious that Palin not only is conservative, but the most conservative possible candidate out there with the ability to garner votes on a national basis.

As to her statement above, she is obviously campaigning for McCain. Yet, her responses to policy questions after the 08 campaign have been conservative responses. She is politically forced to support McCain or the establishment in the GOP would murder her, not literally.

She is playing politics and is attempting to win a national election. Just like when Reagan endorsed Pete Wilson and appointed Bush VP.

That is the way it is.

You play ball and get a conservative in the WhiteHOuse or you ostracize yourself and whine that all we have are RINOs running. If Palin doesn’t run. That’s what you get. Romney is a done deal.

While you’re pondering that, I’ll continue:

I answered your question, now you answer mine. Name a credible candidate that is known by more than 3% of the people, who can take on RINO Romney, and is a conservative.

"... the likelihood imho is it will come down to either Romney or Palin."

I am not buying that. This far ahead of the 2008 elections Giuliani looked like a shoe-in. There was a point where it looked like it would come down to a race between Giuliani and Thompson. Both suddenly collapsed. After the 2010 elections are over the picture will be more clear and I will have a better idea of who to support. That person ideally would be someone who stood up to the GOP led spending spree as well as opposing Obama and the Dems. The person could be a current Governor, it is just too early to tell. If the race ends up being between Mitt and Sarah, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Right now I am not very enthusiastic about the current crop of "likely" candidates, which does not concern me as my focus is more on 2010.

You base your opinions on Democratic propaganda. And that is the problem.

no, i do not... i base them on what she says herself... my opinion has nothing to do with Dem prop... i like her... they do not... i will vote for her if she is the nominee... they will not... i did not care for her Oprah interview, nor other interviews i've seen... however, i do like the way she speaks at rallies and such... you are not engaging in discussion... you are generalizing... you believe that anyone who is not 100 percent sold on Palin as Pres is drinking the media kool-aid... and i am wasting my time explaining this to you because you do not have the mental capabilities to exchange ideas...

Have you studied Palin’s record ? She is the exact kind of person we need. She took on the establishment in Alaska and they ate her dust.

yes--i have studied her record... as i've said, i like where she stands on many issues... don't know where she stands on all the issues... though i would vote for her, i do not think she will win...

"Yet, her responses to policy questions after the 08 campaign have been conservative responses."

Not if you include her continued support for the Bush bailout and the claim in her book that the GOP House opposition to this bill "hurt the cause". How on earth can she be considered the one who is leading the revolt against big government when she threw those who stood up to this big spending proposal under the bus??? In addition she does not seem to ever have repudiated her support for the Law of the Sea Treaty. Even McCain switched his position on this from support to opposition when he ran. If I really thought that she was as conservative as she is portrayed, I might be able to muster more enthusiasm for her.

It’s called loyalty and politics where you try to get elected. Smart move.

Lying for the sake of loyalty. Loyalty to leftism. Smart like a snake.
