Just a message for the Anti-Palin crowd
Posted on 04/21/2010 9:12:01 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative
To those of you who go into every Sarah Palin thread with your anti-Palin talking points and repeating everything you hear on ABC, NBC or CBS.
I have a question for you personally. This is a personal question.
What are you doing to further our cause in a time of grave national and international crisis ?
Have you traveled to dozens of states in the last few months ? (Sarah Palin has)
also,
How is the view from the peanut gallery ?
and
How is the breakfast with your Democratic friends down at the local Holiday Inn ?
Please get a life. You are doing nothing to further our cause. Do some soul searching, it must seem like a worthless existance spending your time on the net attacking one person with such vigor and such venom. I hope for a big purge and I hope it is soon.

South Carolina is critical and DeMint (who some champion here) is a strong supporter and supported Romney early in 08.
DeMint orbiting to Romney to the same crowd is fine, but Palin’s then reacting to that is verboten?
Hypocritical, and many of the same Palin bashers cite DeMint as an alternative which is just hilarious. You can’t get that funny on SNL.

Well now, this is an interesting vanity. Let's go to work.
"To those of you who go into every Sarah Palin thread with your anti-Palin talking points and repeating everything you hear on ABC, NBC or CBS."
Straw man assertion. You are seeking to minimize and disregard any and all opinions which are not in lockstep with the most fervent followers of Sarah Palin. There are legitimate criticisms to be made of her, as with any candidate. She is a (potential) political candidate, not the Pope, and therefore is not subject to that presumed quality of 'infallibility'.
"I have a question for you personally. This is a personal question."
I will be happy to give you a personal answer.
"What are you doing to further our cause in a time of grave national and international crisis?"
I do what most if not all FReepers do, I get up in the morning, knock back some coffee, and then go out and do my job. I work. I also network with other patriots and do my best to support those who are working to oppose the illegal 0bamunist regime trying to drag America into socialism. When my time permits me, I am here on FR primarily, and my message is consistent and clear: I support the complete and total restoration of our Constitution and our Republic, the return of the current GOP (Goofy Old Party) to the Party of Reagan. I am absolutely and without exception opposed to the liberal/progressive agenda advanced by 'Rats and RINOs alike. They are my enemies. I will not make common cause with them and neither should any true conservative.
"Have you traveled to dozens of states in the last few months? (Sarah Palin has)"
Deposit a few million dollars into my personal checking account and I will join Sarah in her national crusade, I'll quit my job, and hit the road tomorrow.
So how about you, se_ohio_young_conservative? Have you turned in your notice to your employer, packed your bags, and headed out into our great Nation and emulated Sarah's inspiring behavior? Whatzat you say? You HAVEN'T?!?! Oh ok, you don't have millions of dollars in your banking account either, you're a working stiff just like me, just like most of our fellow patriots, you can't just pull up stakes, toss your obligations over your shoulder, and join the jubilee, can you?
But that's ok, my fellow Freeper, your failure to get out there traveling from city to city, interview to interview, rally to rally only proves that you are a *responsible* American, and you honor your obligations. Sarah herself would tell you to continue to do that.
"also, how is the view from the peanut gallery?"
You tell us. Unless you're traveling across America in Governor Palin's entourage, you're right here in the peanut gallery with the rest of us.
"and How is the breakfast with your Democratic friends down at the local Holiday Inn?"
I wouldn't know, I don't know any 'Rats at my local Holiday Inn, but perhaps you could ask your strawman friend from ABC, NBC or CBS that you constructed at the beginning of this vanity post. Maybe he knows somebody down there.
"Please get a life. You are doing nothing to further our cause. Do some soul searching, it must seem like a worthless existance spending your time on the net attacking one person with such vigor and such venom."
Please give your head a shake and remind yourself that the strength and resilience of our Republic is based upon the tolerance of, and the existence of, OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS, especially when it comes to determining who will, or will not be the conservative standard bearer for the purpose of saving this Republic from the Communists that have seized our government. You don't have to like those opposing viewpoints, or viewpoints which are not exact carbon copies of your own, in fact you can hate them if you wish. But you ARE going to tolerate them unless you are willing to just admit here and now that you are advocating some sort of latter day fascist mindset that will brook not even the slightest question, criticism or ambivalence regarding the Great Conservative Heroine.
"I hope for a big purge and I hope it is soon"
Joe Stalin applauds you.

Actually, Bob - I'm not now promoting her for POTUS, I'm just saying that she's doing a good service for conservatives and making a little money for her family -
just like you would do if anyone would listen to you and pay you to talk. The simple fact that you don't view the run for POTUS as a popularity contest is very telling - you are the one that's lost in space - a conservative space cadet.
Why not just leave Palin supporters alone - post to your favorite candidate thread or start one - just get lost when Palin's name come up, we all will appreciate it.
Also, noting that she's making money as a bad thing is really more than passingly strange, if you are a conservative and a capitalist - perhaps you are not?

“No need to make excuses. It was a perfectly rational political move and it was loyal.”
I don’t consider it a perfectly rational political move and the proof of that is how many conservatives were left shaking their heads at her decision. And loyalty to a RINO is the last thing I want to see when it comes to one of our conservative leaders.
You also said, “Not an excuse from me. If you think the reasoning is lame then you cant reason well on a political level.” Insults to not make your argument stronger. You might think you’re some sort of political expert, but that doesn’t make you one.
To: stephenjohnbanker
Yes and anybody with a brain knows why Palin supports McCain.
NO NO NO you dont!!
That was your excuse for 1 or 2 Palin appearances in Arizona.
You all said that little trek to Arizona was out of loyalty.
The loyalty tour is long past!
That is LONG GONE, Miller.
Palin is still at it every day! She is LYING like a rug about McCain every day on the radio in Arizona!
Now THAT is RINO_ENABLING to the MAX !!
Wall. Hammer. NAILED IT. Well done SJB.
Sarah Palin is on the record as saying that she "shares John McCain's vision for America", if Sarah Palin's vision for America is the same vision John McCain has, then Sarah is no conservative, and no friend of FReepers.
Sorry, sometimes the truth just hurts.

“Why did you vote for and support a kook like Ron Paul, a man that has stated he felt Reagan was a failure.?”
How ironic.
McCain opposing Reagan
[snip]John McCains reputation as a maverick is no recent contrivance. The senator first captured the media spotlight in September 1983, not long after hed been elected to his first term in the House, when he voted against President Reagans decision to put American troops in Lebanon as part of a multinational peacekeeping force. One of 27 Republicans to break with the White House, the freshman McCain made a floor speech that reads as if it might have been written yesterdayby Ron Paul:
McCAin: The fundamental question is: What is the United States interest in Lebanon? It is said we are there to keep the peace. I ask, what peace? It is said we are there to aid the government. I ask, what government? It is said we are there to stabilize the region. I ask, how can the U.S. presence stabilize the region?... The longer we stay in Lebanon, the harder it will be for us to leave. We will be trapped by the case we make for having our troops there in the first place.

Stating that you are not a rational think on a political level, is not an insult.
BTW, the conservatives and Independents at the Tea Parties seems to shaking their heads too...up and down with approval.

I think ‘se’ is saying you have to fight fire with fire. If the enemy stamps out opposing opinions, then we have to also. But wait, I just thought of something. If the firemen used fire on my burning house, that would actually burn it down faster. You are right mk, that wouldnt work!
I be this would make sense if we were in ohio!

Is there a reason you didn’t comment on the rest of my post? I said, “And loyalty to a RINO is the last thing I want to see when it comes to one of our conservative leaders.”
You state that I am not being “rational” on a “political level” and then claim that is not an insult? When someone tells me I’m not being rational, I do consider that to be an insult. Just because you disagree with my points does not make me irrational.
I also shake my head “up and down with approval” when Palin speaks at the Tea Parties. I’m an Alaskan, we’re proud of our Sarah, I support her endeavors, but that doesn’t mean I approve of every decision she has made.
To: AuntB
McCain is horrible no doubt.
But so is Ron Paul.
McCain is a progressive RINO. Paul is a loon.

I actually like her, I thought she did a great job on her Fox Special. I appreciate what she does at speaking engagements. I don’t think she is an airhead because she wrote on her hand. I don’t question her family values because her daughter got pregnant (I have 3 teenagers), I like that she speaks for middle America, so do all of my friends and neighbors...
I just believe that somewhere out there there is a better candidate for President in 2012!
Besides I suffer from Duncan Hunter Syndrome....LOL!
To: mkjessup
No. McCain is a RINO progressive.
I answered your question, now you answer mine.
Name a credible candidate that is known by more than 3% of the people, who can take on RINO Romney, and is a conservative.
When you present this alternative to Palin I’ll consider them.

It would indeed.
"On June 23, 1969, Cleveland's oily, contaminated Cuyahoga River caught fire. Flames climbed as high as five stories until fireboats brought it under control. The fire was attributed to wastes dumped into the river by the waterfront industries."
Only in Ohio.
