McDonnell; Brown; Palin; Santorum; Petraeus- All Telegenic Presidential Candidates But Not...
April 09th 2010

Posted on 04/09/2010 9:42:00 PM PDT by Steelfish

Bob McDonnell; Scott Brown; Sarah Palin; Rick Santorum; Petraeus - All Telegenic Presidential Candidates. OUT: Newt Gingrich; Haley Barbour; Pawlenty. It is critical that the next Republican candidate for president not only be a true conservative but one who can project a telegenic image to sway voters to pull the lever for them. The outcome of the presidential election of 2012 will either result in the signing of this nation's death warrant with an Obama re-election or trail-blaze a path to a miraculous political resurrection. With this being the case we simply cannot have our blinders on regarding the crucial issue of telemetrics no matter how articulate or informed the candidate is. Of course these qualities are essential but in the end "image" matters because it is how a candidate "connects" with the voting masses.

There are reasonable people on FR who enthustiasically support Palin. There are reasonable people on FR who like Sarah Palin, who think she is doing a good job fighting Obama, and who are considering supporting Sarah. Define what you think makes somebody a "Palin Cultist" worthy of your insults, contempt and smears.

Palin cultists:...defend her political mistakes including the most fatal of all which is her resignation as a governor of 600,000 people in Alaska only 2.5 years in her first term.

So somebody who disagrees with you about Sarah's resignation, you smear as a "Palin cultist".

A person who thinks that Sarah is more valuable now on the national scene than she was in Alaska, you smear as a "Palin cultist".

A person who thinks it's more noble to resign as governor when preparing for a possible presidential run than it is to do both at the same time, you smear as a "Palin cultist".

As I said to you earlier on this thread, you come on this thread unprovoked and you start stupidly smearing people who have a different point-of-view about Sarah Palin than you do and then you act so surprised when they respond in kind with smears.

Your Palin or Sarah as you folks like to call her is not going to be President because no one who resigns the governorship before completing the first term is going to be President. If she is the nominee she is going to lose very bad to Obama.

Your Palin...

My Palin? She's not "mine". She's somebody I like, who if she runs, I may support.

or Sarah as you folks like to call her...

"You folks"? You can't help yourself with your little snarky smears can you.

If she is the nominee she is going to lose very bad to Obama.

Oh sure.

The voters in such swing states as Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, North Carolina, Florida and Nevada would much rather vote for a Marxist Tyrant, who has wasted a trillion dollars on a bogus "stimulus" package, who has enslaved us with a huge government run health care boondoggle, who assures our enemies and threatens our allies, who would weaken our nuclear defenses, who would legalize 20 million aliens and who would suck the brains out of unborn babies.

We are voting for their morals, their values...if we share them.

True. And we're also voting on their judgment and their ability to make good decisions.

What exactly are you saying in your vanity? The Sarah Palin is the only real option we have for 2012? That appears to be what most of those commenting think it is saying (those taking either side.)

No, not at all. My POV is that the conservative candidate must have a telegenic aspect since voters are swayed by a candidate’s ability to connect. In today’s culture TV is a critical factor. Palin may be telegenic but she needs to undo her media image as lacking in foreign policy gravitas.

Ya know...your "fatal" error hobby horse is getting quite boring. Will you have anything fresh to add to your premature dis of Gov. Palin? Will we have to glide on by your FR posts for the next three years because that's all you can come up with? Gettin' stale!

Imagine if they cannot take on a little guy on an internet forum how are they going to take on the massive political machine of the left?

As far as I'm concerned, "they" pinned you to the mat over a hundred posts ago! You just might not realize you have to "tap-out" or say "uncle" when that happens.

Care to share the source and dates of your polls?

Right click on the image:

http://wwwimage.cbsnews.com/images/2010/01/18/image6113268.gif

But, if you don't believe any CBS polls....

Today, at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, Sarah Palin won only 18% of the votes of the straw poll.

Then there is an ABC News/Washington Post poll in February, 2010: Poll reads Palin's palm: no chance in 2012; 71% of Americans don't think she's qualified to be President ....... More than half the nation - 55% - see Sarah Palin unfavorably, and 71% believe the "Going Rogue" author is not qualified to be President,

Then there is a Rasmussen Poll from October 2009 where Palin was the favored choice by only 18% of REPUBLICANS (the only group of voters in America that doesn't have a massively heavy UNFAVORABLE opinion of her).

Look, I know that Sarah Palin has a huge Fan Club on FR filled with those who think that "cute" is a qualification for the Presidency but the rest of America has already wised up to Affirmative Action candidates.

Sarah Palin served two years as Governor of a State that has half the population of San Diego, CA. ..... Before she quit in the middle of her first term.

She is as unqualified for the Presidency as a certain Affirmative Action candidate that America is now having massive buyer's remorse about.

Today's headlines had the pathetic spectacle of Barack Obama and Sarah Palin trading jibes, back and forth, regarding which one of them was more clueless about strategic nuclear issues.

Any 22 year old Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force is more qualified than either one of them in regards to strategic nuclear issues.

When 71% of American voters believe that a candidate is unqualified for the Presidency and 55% have an UNFAVORABLE opinion of that candidate, that candidate has as much of a chance of being elected President of the United States as does your neighbor's cat.

Another deceitful answer by a PDS Sufferer, who knew you guys could be so reliable in your dishonesty.

You, I, and everyone else paying attention on FreeRepublic know that both Myth Romney and Ron "I am a Nut-Job" Paul BOUGHT thier votes. It was a rigged straw poll and signifies absolutely nothing, except that both Myth and Ron a very dishonest cheaters as well.

In fact, it reflects exactly opposite to what you would pretend it means, because Sarah didn't buy her votes, so you can pretty much ignore both Myth's and Ron's voters and Sarah actually is the winner.

Romney- Buys 500 $119 tickets = $59,500

Paul- Buys 800 $119 tickets = $95,200

Ronald Paul got screwed...lol.

So you have to reach all the way back to October 2009 to find a poll from a reliable, non-biased pollster to support your contention.

Get back to me once Rasmussen does another poll on Sarah, I think you'll find the numbers are much higher that either the two completely biased pollsters, ABC and CBS want to admit to.

As usual, PDS Sufferers, as well as, the MSM ignore the part of the message that doesn't fit their template of Governor Palin not qualified, Governor Palin is a quitter. You're in good company my friend!

Is that supposed to pass for a debating point?

It is right up there with the mindless liberal automatons that chant, "If Faux News said something, it must be false."

Guess what?

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while and Sarah Palin's lack of qualifications loom as large as an SUV, not a nut.

You are infatuated with a woman who served two years as the Governor of a State that is half the size of San Diego, CA and then BAILED OUT in the middle of her first term.

That is her "experience".

Her "experience" is almost as pathetic as the "experience" of Barack Obama and America already regrets that foolish Affirmative Action choice.

If somebody does not want me to pilot the next Boeing 777 that they fly on because they think I am unqualified to fly it, that does not mean that they have "Polybius Derangement Syndrome".

That only means that they have a lick of common sense.

So you have to reach all the way back to October 2009 to find a poll from a reliable, non-biased pollster to support your contention.

I gave a straw poll from TODAY that showed Sarah Palin getting only 18% of the vote in a REPUBLICAN conference.

Show me ANY poll that shows that Sarah Palin's UNFAVORABLE ratings among all voters are not higher than a kite.

Here is a poll from February 2010 showing sky-high UNFAVORABLE ratings for Palin.. Is that recent enough for you?

Here is another poll from February:

Palin's Poll Numbers Hit Historic Lows, Even Among GOPers ............ More than 70% of respondents said she's not qualified to be president. ..... just 45% of conservatives consider Palin qualified to move into the Oval Office. Last November, 66% of conservatives said she was qualified. Only 37 percent of Republicans have a "strongly favorable" view of Palin. Among all Americans, her overall favorable/unfavorable split is 37/55,

Just because you have a schoolboy crush on Sarah Palin does not mean that the rest of America does not see her for what she is ............ A female Affirmative Action candidate whose experience would get a white male candidate laughed off the Presidential political stage.
