Bob McDonnell; Scott Brown; Sarah Palin; Rick Santorum; Petraeus - All Telegenic Presidential Candidates. OUT: Newt Gingrich; Haley Barbour; Pawlenty. It is critical that the next Republican candidate for president not only be a true conservative but one who can project a telegenic image to sway voters to pull the lever for them. The outcome of the presidential election of 2012 will either result in the signing of this nation's death warrant with an Obama re-election or trail-blaze a path to a miraculous political resurrection. With this being the case we simply cannot have our blinders on regarding the crucial issue of telemetrics no matter how articulate or informed the candidate is. Of course these qualities are essential but in the end "image" matters because it is how a candidate "connects" with the voting masses.
Really? That's why you can be so objective about all of Palin's amazing, once-in-a-century accomplishments, only made all the more spectacular by the fact that she achieved them all within her first 2 years as Governor, during which she also had a baby and ran for Vice President!?!?!
Okay, I'll bite. My I.Q. is 160+. So, just to be double my I.Q., yours would have to be way over 320. A human impossibility. Say what you want about theose of us with the common sense to appreciate what Palin has done despite the fact that she's a woman...
...your idotic assertion RE: your "I.Q." makes it clear that you are a blithering imbecile: a qualified, drooling, mouth-breathing moron. Does Mommy know you're on the computer misbehaving and being obnoxious at the grown-ups again? My seven-month old nephew makes clones of your all day long; in his diaper.
;-/
Barak, is that you?
I suggest you just ignore him (or her). jveritas is obviously trolling, for what reason I don’t know.
Well, I guess all the tens of thosuands of people showing up at her books signings and speeches, most recently in Searchlight and New Orleans, as well as the millions tuning into to her Fox television appearances, are figments of our imagination then.
Another misogynist spews forth I see.
Attention all women politicians----give it up, get back to the kitchen, take care of the kids, and shut up!
Is that it?
Newt had it all teed up for him 10+ years ago and blew it. He is best as a color commentator. I think he would bring an ego and pomposity to the office that would tempt him into sweeping things “for your own good.”
You know what, after some consideration of you and your mouth-foaming diatribes against Palin, I believe that your real problem with her is that she IS a woman, based on your own Lebanese-Arabic bias. I think THAT is your real problem here, not anything she ever did as governor or in leaving office.

Being originally a native of Lebanon, born and lived there for twenty two years, translation from Arabic to English is a simple thing to do for me :)
PS: All the documents that I have translated so far are handwritten ones and I think there is not a software in the world that can possibly do the translation of a handwritten Arabic document.

Fascinating post. Thanks for the perspective.
jveritas HATES WOMEN.
Well, to be fair, I DO agree with this.....
..... I would also add they should make babies and BAKE ME A PIE!
Pish posh. My I.Q. is 53,230. I solved differential equations as a sperm. When I united with the egg, I discovered more faster-than-light science than we will ever know as a race. As a fetus I authored moving orchestral pieces and decoded the human genome.
Then mom dropped me on the haid. Day-um.
Dude.
Who doesn't.
IHI, baby, IHI!
Geniuses don't mak typos.
Sane humans?
Ohhhhh, you sad, disturbed and troubled man.......
....prayers up......
Down boy!
Next you are going to tell me Helen Thomas ain’t your cup of tea. The HOTTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD, the Sex Goddess — She Who Must Be Hit — HELEN THOMAS!
Some folks have difficulty thinking or acting outside the box
Patraeus? Why would you list him when he has never even stated his positions on any political issue, nor should he. Immigration? Taxes? Role of government? etc.
When the Reagan Administration was ending many conservatives were listing Gen. Colin Powell among those suitable to carry the conservative mantel.
