Yorkie, I have that C.D. mainly for that song. So sad...can’t hardly listen to it sometimes. You know he wrote that after his child died, I’m sure. Didn’t his child fall from a window or something tragic like that?

Me, too, JC - I got the CD just for that one song. I can’t help but think of the son I lost, when I hear that song.
Conor Clapton was 4 years old when he fell from a window on the 53rd floor of the apartment of his mother’s friend in NY, in 1991. Eric wrote “Tears In Heaven” in 1992.

That probably was one of the first C.D.’s I purchased...as best as I can remember. Glad you verified my memories of him falling from window. Thats hard to get over. Any child’s death would be hard to ever get over. Did you read what I wrote about my mom’s first little girl??

Yes, I read it. Your poor sweet mama! A mother who loses a child never gets over it. Ever. I still think of my Ricky every day, and it’s been many, many years, now.

I realize you will never get over it. Mama talked about Wynette when she was in the Nursing Home. She would tell the story again and again. Guess thats why I was one of those Moms who couldn’t take her eyes off the children (especially when we went to the beach and things like that.) Hubby used to tell me I worried too much but a Mom can’t worry too much! He worried too but men don’t show it as much as women! We were born to worry......Its our job...LOL!
