Jaycee, your #1902 is Darling! : )
You asked if the Roses in my Lord's Day Graphic are yellow; they are, Sort of a Light Yellow.

Yorkie, your #1906 is Sweet!
Meg, your #1907 is Precious. I'm not Sure if the Roses are Lady Banksias; the Prior Owner Planted them.
The Whole Plant, including the Bridal's Wreaths, is between 15 and 20 Foot Wide,
About the Most Spectacular Thing I've ever Seen.

Tiapam, your #1922 is Lovely.
Left, your #1978 is Adorable.

Here is a Very Short Vid of the Rose Shrub I Uploaded to my Photobucket Album:

ROSE SHRUB

Hi all! The dog rescue where we got our dobie-lab mix has posted my adoption success story.

It can be found at

http://ildoberescue.com/displaySection.php?id=7

My story is in the “most recent” section under the doggie name “Dusty”.

He and his DoberBrother Bart are right by me now, one under the desk, one next to it. Dobermans are known as “the Velcro Dog”. They love to be right by their people.
******************************************

On a more serious note, I checked into Jeff Head’s special thread about his terrible illness this evening. I was hoping he had added an update and he did.

You can find his thread by searching his name as the keywords. Go to the last page for the update.

If you are so moved, donate to his fund. I donated this evening.

Prayers Up for Jeff!

TCP

TCP, before I check out your ‘dobie’ link, I wanted to be sure everyone got the link to Jeff Head’s thread. I hope you don’t mind if I post it here, for everyone to click onto. HUGS!

Thank you yorkie! I was hoping to encourage a few more donors. I know a lot of you already gave to Jeff’s fund. I should have done it sooner. Been thinking of him a lot as his surgery dates approach.

I also donated late (today) to the Freepathon. Better late than never as they say!

That PayPal makes it all so easy.

God Bless and Good Night to all!

The Secret Chamber
Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. —Matthew 10:27

People have some needs that are excruciatingly deep. Poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote, “Never morning wore to evening, but some heart did break.”

We find ourselves in conversation at times with heartbroken friends and may feel at an utter loss to know what to say. How can we “speak a word in season to him who is weary,” as it says in Isaiah 50:4?

Telling people what human teachers have taught us may have some impact on them. But the most helpful or persuasive words are spoken by those who are taught by the Lord Himself.

That’s why it’s essential for us to sit at Jesus’ feet and learn from Him. The more we receive from Him, the more we have to give to others. George MacDonald pictures this time with the Lord as having “a chamber in God Himself.” He continues: “Out of [that] chamber . . . man has to bring revelation and strength for his brethren. This is that for which he was made.”

It’s through our thoughtful and prayerful Bible study, reading, and quiet meditation that God speaks to our hearts. He gives us “the tongue of the learned” (Isa. 50:4) so that we have something to share with those who are in the depths of despair.

The comfort God has given us
He wants us all to share
With others who, with broken hearts,
Are caught in deep despair. —Sper

Listen to God’s heart, then speak from your heart to others.
