MCALLEN -- Loose pit bulls are sparking a feud between neighbors in a McAllen neighborhood.
Some neighbors are afraid to step out of their own homes, and they want the pit bulls gone, but the pit bulls owner said her pets are friendly.
They only look intimidating.

“They only look intimidating”, I think that that may be read as :that they look shot”.
Exactly.
Around me..........they’d no longer look “intimidating”. They’d look “dead”.
I am a dog lover of the first water. However, you own a dog, you are responsible for what that dog does, whether pooping on someone else’s lawn or biting someone, Allowing a dog to run loose is not being responsible.
There would be a neighborhood dead dog alert IF they were running around and intimidating me or my kids.
When the Animal Control officier came out to speak to me after the third incident I told him that if it happened again I was going to kill that dog. He smiled and didn't disagree with me.
BTW, each time that the attacks occurred I had my dog leashed (and always do unless he is on my fenced in patio).
They only look intimidating if you let them bite you! lol!

You can read a man's soul by the way he treats his dog.
