Would obama create a national emergency crisis in order to cancel the November elections? (Vanity)

If things continue along the present path (because of the healthcare shakedown), there is a fair chance the House and Senate could be lost to the Republicans in November. If it were to happen, obama would find himself and his continuing plans to destroy our country in deep jeopardy.
Therefore, does anyone feel he, with the help of pelosi and reid, would CREATE some type of national "emergency crisis" and proclaim an election DELAY until the so-called "crisis" is over? And, of course, never lifting the DELAY, thus crowning himself the KING OF AMERIKA FOR LIFE.
Any thoughts on this scenerio?

You may be old enough to remember that 1968 was a tumultuous year, with a number of assassinations and a whole series of war and civil rights protests. The nation threatened to unravel. Lyndon Johnson was concerned that the November elections might not be able to be held in a state of domestic tranquility. Thus he asked the National Security Council to war-game scenaarios in which the elections could be postponed, to include legal means and justifications. The NSC presented Johnson with a menu of options.
The NSC agreed that only a declaration of martial law and a suspension of the Constitution would legally permit the president to postpone the elections by diktat. Official presidential findings were written up for contingency purposes.
Johnson asked if it would be necessary to bring the Supreme Court in on the decision, and the NSC said no. However, Johnson decided to add a step to the scenario in which Chief Justice Earl Warren would be asked to sign off on martial law and the postponement of the elections. It was really nothing more than political cover, but Johnson felt it was a smart precaution, considering his standing with the American people at that time.
This was one of those secrets that came out after Nixon's resignation in 1974, and the press catalogued it among the "White House horrors" of the era.

ya’ mean the threats and open dissent of all those bitter clinging tea partiers might just lead the oligarchy on the Potomac to reconcile us to martial law?

Yes, he will. Just like Clinton stopped the elections in 1996 and Bush prevented the 2004 election from happening.

Looney tunes.....
but if it happened THEN I would find wise and prescient some of the things said around here about having a revolution that now I find ludicrous.
Likelyhood.... somewhere around 0.000000000000000000000000000000%.

It's time to get out the large PVC pipe and oil up a few for storage.
November will determine if this goes from a dem slaughter at the polls to an armed conflict.
Right now I am not sure which I would prefer.

I don't think it will go down that way. I do think he is capable of it. I just don't think he will need to call off elections. Easier to use the newly energized ACORN thugs to totally dispirit the electorate through blatant, outrageous election tampering and fraud, with no accountability from our castrated justice system. They will walk right in and steal, walk right out, with not so much as a nod from any legal entities. If it ever comes to the SCOTUS, the majority opinion will be written by a fat stupid greasy latina --en Espanol.

That is the way I see it. We all have the right to decide how we want to spend out life. Cashing it in for the perpetuation of our constitutional freedoms and rights is a pretty good bargain.

He won’t need to.
After cramming amnesty through using the same fascist tactics we are currently witnessing, he won’t have to fear the 2010 midterms of his reelection in 2012.

Like all liberals, they never think out the consequences of their actions. That's why we should never, ever again permit liberals to hold the reins of power.

The next congress will be Republican controlled and they will allow nothing to be passed in support of this new socialist program. It can not exist and extend into the furure without funding.
Do you really think the obambat will allow that to happen???
Two years from Nov the conservatives will take back the white house and over turn this whole mess.
