They say the bill hasn’t been written so they don’t know how they will vote. They have to see it in its final form before making a decision. I said it was the Senate bill and they said something about nuances of putting this together and not necessarily the same as Senate bill, blah, blah, blah.
I got through to my Congresswoman’s office number (202 line), but tried to call the 800 numbers and at first I got a busy signal, and then got a recording saying the number was invalid.
I was calling yesterday. Got through about half the time; a number of voice mail systems were full. Tell them out front I’m not in their district but if they vote for it, I’ll gladly contribute to their opponent in the fall.
All returned a busy signal. Left messages for both Senators
and actually spoke to someone in a Representative's office. When asked a congressman’s position (Dem) I was informed it was their policy that they couldn't divulge the position.
