Anyone who still likes to see the stars, the dresses, the fun of watching liberals do their thing, please join me! Dishing and heavy sarcasm welcome!
so excited for Sandra and “The Blind Side!”
Sorry
But the Hurt Locker proves the academy only has taste in their mouths.
The film disgusted me. It made a hero out of a compulsive addictive soldier who was an Adrenalin Junkie???!!!
And the Academy further proved their incompetence by nominating “Inglorious Bastards” and “District 9”....did you actually watch D9???
Agreed. Bigelow is a class act.
We were all impressed.
(And so happy Cameron was snubbed.)
I didn’t even recognize her! Holy S**t!!
Stop it.Ride on the high.
dist 9 sucked
here’s hoping the hobbit is much better
Sandra did acknowledge Jessie, just didn’t say his name. When she was talking about her mother’s guidance, etc., said that was the reason she ended up with him (pointed the Oscar towards him in the audience) and ended up with the Oscar.
So, yes, she did acknowledge her husband. Watch the replay on youtube.
While it was felt by the grander critics, such as A. O. Scott, of The New York Times, that Bullock can act perfectly well at times, this particular film was given a thumbs down for its retrograde content.
Bullock stars as a rich Southern belle who takes in a homeless black teenager who then becomes a star American-football player, thanks to her good, Christian encouragement.
The film garnered atrocious reviews, and massive audiences in red-state multiplexes. It is still to be released in Britain. Bullocks character was compared with her tight white pencil skirts, and white Christian values to Sarah Palin and became a mascot for the Tea Party Republicans.

He was scary in that role but PB himself is just sexy as hell.He didn’t look to great at the beginning of the movie though;he looked like a nerd!
I know. I kinda miss the old Oscars when presenters and winners would show up half inebriated and deliver rambling, incoherent diatribes against whatever injustice was in fashion. At least there's be something to talk about the next day.
Lately, awards shows have been too sober and professional (aka boring).
In 2005, Amis founded MUSE Elementary, a Reggio-inspired, independent, non-profit school in the Topanga, California area of Los Angeles serving the need for progressive and individualized education touching lives as deeply as possible, both locally and globally.
He wasn’t in that movie;I just looked it up.
LOL and whew! Thanks Carolyn.
Liberals are in charge in Washington now. All is well in hollyweird.
Cameron was married to Bigelow twenty years ago.
I’ve seen her in a couple movies but it wasn’t until I studied her face that I actually recognized her.
Good point.
I thought it was an outstanding movie and enjoyed it thoroughly... personally I don’t give a rip what critics have to say, 9 times out if 10 if they hate a movie I enjoy it.
It was a lovely movie and she was wonderful in it!
It’s the only movie I saw, and I’m very happy she won!!!
