Video: Tom Hanks Mocks Rove's New Book
Discussing Karl Rove's new memoir, "Courage and Consequence," Stephanopoulos asks Hanks, "You ready to read about this?" "I can't wait to buy Karl Rove's book when it's discounted in the discount bin," Hanks says. "He has a right to write a book. It'll be interesting to a degree. I'm sure he's going to just blow the lid off of everything and tell the complete truth about those 8 years."

The “whore?” I love when women are vilified in a situation like that. To my knowledge, Ms. Wilson did not put a gun to his head.
May I recommend that you explore some other forms of entertainment that aren't tainted by those on the left?
For example, in music, the inspirational, upbeat sounds of Southern Gospel (Kingsmen, Gaithers and many more) have a country flavor with a happy, positive message and without the loony left agenda.
For film enjoyment, a number of great Christian movies are being released. To pick but one example, ``Facing the Giants'' is uplifting, deeply moving and I'm sure it puts anything by Tom Hanks and his ilk to shame.
Do you know why those movies were on constantly? There are many other shows which I would have liked. Enough already.
Hope he doesn’t have any movies coming out. We’ll show him what mocking is. These stupid libs underestimate our power.
I lost all the respect I had for Hanks...
which, to me, condemns both parties of that sordid mess.
Or can homewreckers no longer be "vilified" at all?
I’ve pretty much given up on Hollyweird altogether.
I haven't seen the film, ``Philadelphia'' nor will I watch it so I can't dispute your point concerning its agenda.
But how can a firing be ``unlawful'' if the individual fired has AIDS? IMHO, that appears to be just cause. I certainly don't want to work around homosexuals with AIDS and, if I were an employer, would immediately fire such an individual.
Related question: Anyone know about Travolta’s politics? Apparently From Paris with Love is a decent flick: US hard-azz cop goes to Paris and scandalizes (then turns) his French partner by simply exterminating large numbers of jihadists. NOT PC!
He reads lines somebody writes for him...says a lot of curse words on the screen, and takes off his clothes while something on the set explodes.
A very apt summation. I just checked his bio and found he was born, ``raised'' and ``educated'' in the People's Republic of California. That in and of itself pretty much says it all.
Our Fresno-based host gets a special exemption, of course. :-)
There are great movies out there other than the contemporary Hollywood fare that is culturally repugnant, ideologically obvious as well as poorly produced, directed and acted. I get a lot of great movies via mail...old film noir American classics and great foreign films..”My Life as Dog”, “The Lives of Others,” “After the Wedding,” “Blackbook,” “Oldboy” and many others put all Hollywood dramas to shame. Some have leftist notions but not prounounced to the extent that they overwhelm the more important themes of the movie.
Isn’t it the ultimate irony that Hanks and Hollywood are supporting a Marxist, anti-capitalist like Dear Leader. Yet, it’s only because of capitalism that they became wealthy; wealthy at a job that requires they pretend to be someone they are not.
How many wealthy movie actors are there in Russia, China, Indonesia, Iran, Syria, etc. etc. etc.???
It’s a pity that liberals are so blind to the true evil in this country.
Firing someone with AIDS is about the same as firing someone for having cancer.
Good point. It is ironic.
