Video: Tom Hanks Mocks Rove's New Book
Discussing Karl Rove's new memoir, "Courage and Consequence," Stephanopoulos asks Hanks, "You ready to read about this?" "I can't wait to buy Karl Rove's book when it's discounted in the discount bin," Hanks says. "He has a right to write a book. It'll be interesting to a degree. I'm sure he's going to just blow the lid off of everything and tell the complete truth about those 8 years."

Hey Tom...why don’t you and your boyfriend “Wilson” go jump off a cliff?!
Makes one long for Joseph McCarthy.
He's not very funny in real life.
(just another actor whose movies I will no longer see)
He supports left-wing environmental causes and and homosexual marriage. His films get not a penny from me. I read reviews of ``Philadelphia'' and, from what I gather, it pushes the homosexual agenda.
He is a worthless, untalented little man.
Yep, life sucked when we had 4 years of GDP growth and 4.7% unemployment. Those terrible years.
Rather disappointing to me because I am a fan of Mr. Hanks’ work. But given that Hollywood is full of liberals, kool-aid drinkers and conspiracy nuts, such a stance should not be surprising. We all have the right to boycott anyone we don’t like, but if we did that to every Hollywood loon, we wouldn’t have much else in the way of entertainment.
Me? I pick and choose. I won’t buy Dixie Chicks music, but I’ll probably continue to watch Hanks’ work.
Wow, not only is Hanks fat, but he’s stupid too. Who knew?
Hey Tom! Maybe the book will be so good that it’ll make you cry like a blubbering baby...
Although I deeply dislike Tom Hanks, both as an actor and as a citizen, he’s probably right that Rove’s book will shortly be discounted - as short-term-interest books often are - and also that it’s very unlikely all the real dirt is dished.
I lost all the respect I had for Hanks when People magazine gave a glowing article about him, his wife and their children. Oh, and they mentioned in passing his ‘other’ children. You know? The ones along with his wife he left for the whore he’s with now after having months affair on the movie set? Yeah, those kids. Apparently they aren’t as important as his “real” family.
Stephanopoulus thinks Hanks’ opinion of a Rove book is newsworthy?
Actors are, for the most part, idiots.
You mean those years when Americans had jobs???
Zero has had over a year to “expose” the secrets of the Bush/Cheney years. If there was even some remote chance there was any wrongdoing, zero is now complicit... but the lefties can somehow defy logic and focus on what they were taught to repeat over and over and over and over.....
Re: “He should stick to acting.

Agree — boycott anything he is in though he has not seemed to be front and center much anymore.
Hanks jumped the shark with “Bosom Buddies”
“I read reviews of ``Philadelphia’’ and, from what I gather, it pushes the homosexual agenda. “

Not exactly. True, his character was homosexual and ultimately died from AIDS. Mostly though the film was about his unlawful firing because of his AIDS and because he was homosexual. It was about righting an injustice.
Three of his best movies are on TNT this weekend: The Green Mile, Forest Gump and Saving Private Ryan. None of them promote any kind of agenda.
I am now proudly in my second decade of a boycott of Hollywood products. I will not give them one penny. I will not give them one second of my time. Who IS this guy...??? Hank Toms??? Where did he get his degree? Just what the heck does HE know?
He reads lines somebody writes for him...says a lot of curse words on the screen, and takes off his clothes while something on the set explodes.
I don’t give a rat’s behind WHAT he thinks.
