Well, I guess there are some precedences after all, but I still love Sully. And so does my wife. :0)

He lives in Danville, the most conservative city in the entire SF Bay Area, which means it’s about 50-50 GOP/Dem, LOL.

I just looked up his address. He lives about 2 miles from me. Maybe he'll run against McNerney for the House?

Sullenberger / Mulally 2012

Mulally / Sullenberger 2012

Both are can-do people...Or..

Palin/ Sullenberger with Mulally as Sect of Transportation.

People are yearning for leadership and that quite soft spoken hand on the wheel.

But his statement sounds like he’s got something else in the works. Curious.

Yes he does...

Both Sully and his Co-Pilot are the Honorary Chairmen of the EAA's "Young Eagles" Program to try to get kids interested in flying.

If Sully was able to “Dead Stick” his plane into the river with enough control to safely put it down, how come the pilots on AF-447 weren’t able to?

I read a rather lengthy article yesterday on this forum about the last 4 minutes of that flight and the way I read it, the plane would not let them fly it. The computer could not be overidden. Appreciate any comments from aviation types smarter than me on this subject.

I read his book. People of his caliber are very, very rare outside the military.

He is ex military; went to the Air Force Academy in Colo Springs. His commitment to safety is awesome, and if that Hudson incident had never occured, would be termed "anal".

In his book he says how even though the sinking plane was emptied of humans, he walked it TWICE before abandoning ship, the second time climbing over the seats to stay out of the frigid water. That’s some sack right there!
