CNN Insists Evan Bayh is 'No Liberal;' GOP 'Should Be Sad to See Him Go'
On Monday's Rick's List, CNN's Rick Sanchez and Jessica Yellin both tried to portray liberal Indiana Democrat Evan Bayh as a centrist. Yellin insisted, "Republicans should be sad to see Evan Bayh go because he is one of the centrists who worked very hard to work with Republicans." Sanchez replied, "Evan Bayh is no liberal!"

MAYBE NEXT TO OBAMA,CHE GUEVERA, FIDEL CASTRO, AND LENIN!
Awwww, so I have to put down my champagne glass now?
Another one bites the dust, another one bites the dust . . .
Why should we be “sad” to see him go? We’re going to replace him with a Republican.
I think it’s because he calls himself a centrist and doesn’t spout liberal tripe too much. How he votes, I guess, has no bearing on his true leanings...at least to the MSM.
The “Challenged News Newtwork” once again.....
Newtwork = Network
Yes: I noticed how he always crossd party lines and broke the lock Republicans had on the Senate-———————Not.
After every democrat in both House and Senate voted for socialized medicine - there is no such thing as a moderate ‘rat. They don’t exist, they’re the fevered dream of some delirious pundit.
Well, CNN is the final arbiter on what is and is not liberal, isn’t it?
We should all be grateful that they’ve stepped in to educate us on this issue.
Rats ... leaving a sinking ship ... Going out unbeaten leaves a door open for lucrative lobbiest positioning.
Moderate Democrats.
Moderate Muslims.
MSNBC viewers.
The NULL set.
This is just CNN projecting - THEY are sad to see him go.
In their world, I doubt they could name three liberals. They don’t think democrats are liberals, they think they are normal and everyone else is an evil Republican.
Yeah, but he talked like a conservative while he was campaigning.
Exactly right.
Although he voted pretty much as the Democrat party dictated, back in his day the party was still integrated and had Souvrn' Democrats who weren't all that different from Republicans (some even became Republicans later on). The Democrat party was not the piece of Leftwing nonsense it has become, so voting the party line wasn't all that abnormal.
Birch would always VOTE FOR anything that helped Indiana or his constituents in Indiana.
Evan Bayh cannot be counted on a VOTE FOR things that help Indiana or his constituents.
Guess ol' Birch forgot to tell his kid to take care of the homefolks first before you sell out to the pukes in DC.
Or, maybe this is one of Birch's secrets ~ that his son is retarded!
Vote to pass a bill that would block certain civil lawsuits against manufacturers, distributors, dealers and importers of firearms and ammunition, mainly those lawsuits aimed at making them liable for gun violence. In this bill, trade groups would also be protected The bill would call for the dismissal of pending lawsuits against the gun industry.
Far from being a rebel against his Party's lockstep movement, Mr. Bayh voted for the Detroit bailout, for the stimulus, for the public option in the healthcare bill.
I don't know quite what his complaint is but, with metronomic regularity, we go through these moments in Washington where we complain about the government being broken.
These moments have one thing in common: The Left is having trouble enacting its agenda. No one when George W. Bush had trouble reforming Social Security said, 'Oh, that's terrible - the government's broken.'"
