In a shocking letter to his disgruntled fans, KSFO (560-AM) radio host Lee Rodgers told them he was fired from the station but probably would have quit anyway, because Citadel, owned by Farid Suleman, had pushed him toward making positive statements about Muslims.

They still have Rush and Hannity, but I'll no longer be listening to the morning show on a regular basis. Sussman is an OK guy, but a tad dull.
Lee was never dull. Always tough, always on the ball.
I wish I had posted on edit (that’s not a function here) that Brian did say that Lee sent him a private email wishing him well.
According to Lee, it was not KSFO’s decision.
Brian and Lee are both class acts.

Agreed. I'd love to hear Lee and Melanie together again. I'd listen daily.
Of course they are going to “come for” remaining conservative media voices, the process will continue until we have nothing left but PRAVDA USA on every channel.
Conservative Melanie Morgan Cut from KSFO Radio.
NEWS FLASH: Melanie Morgan Cut from KSFO 560 AM - San Francisco
And finally, a paraphrasing of a much earlier (but long forgotten) post on this issue when ABC Radio was first broken up.
However, my larger point is still that the ABCRadio network sale would lead to the dismantling of conservative talk radio. It seems that ABCRadio was the birthing ground of conservative talk radio, given that Limbaugh started out at WABC, and Hannity and Levin are located there, too.Other talk-radio personalities better start paying attention to the business side of things, because the Fariness Doctrine is not their bogeyman right now. Liberals are using their money to buy up the media outlets and then shutting down right-wing talk radio.Breaking up the ABCRadio network is a clever way to hasten the demise of conservative talk radio, if it's not possible to do it via the Fairness Doctrine.
Consider this plan:
1. Destroy the affiliate network. (Done)
2. Eliminate local talk radio. (In Progress) This begins the process of de-linking the listener to his/her local station and local issues.
3. Replace local talk radio with nationally syndicated talk radio, but at non-live times. (Also in progress). If only the local origin of a nationally syndicated show is getting the live feed, then the people in other locations, either when driving or elsewhere, will not be able to participate because the shows will have ended by the time they get to listen. This results in people becoming less interested in conservative talk radio as a whole.

Brian Sussman and Tom Benner (Officer Vic) said that they tell it with brutal honesty on their station, and then talked about the changes without talking about the circumstances.
If they really want to be brutally honest with their listeners, they should come clean about this and say that Lee Rodgers was censored for political reasons and forced off the air. It's unfortunate that they are now acting as collaborators, quietly side-stepping what happened to their neighbors while protecting their own interests.
Who will be there to speak out for Sussman and Benner when the opposition comes for them?

“According to Lee, it was not KSFOs decision.”
Remember, Melanie was fired last year and her husband (Jack Swanson) is the local head of KSFO. When she was fired, we learned that the talent’s contracts are held by Citadel. I think this is pure cost-cutting. Sussman is much more vocal about being anti-Jihadist than Lee. I do think the show has now gone way downhill now. Frankly, the firing of Melanie was the fatal shot for this morning show.
Disgusting.
Lee Rodgers will be sorely missed.
Id pay a decent chunk of money to hear someone say that to Mark Levin, as long as I got to hear Levins response as part of the deal.

ha! me too...me too!
Thee are plenty of NY stations which would love to carry Limbaugh’s show and he ought to make very public move, citing this as a reason when his contract is up.
Clearly the Citadel corp is asking the impossible when he wants someone to speak well of muzzies......
Ok...here goes...I am positive that Islam is a religion of murdering child molestors that bring nothing but misery and death upon the world.
Damn....almost....
Maybe they want/need the Islamists to buy them out.

You might be on to something there. The left controls almost all other media, despite the fact that it hurts their bottom line. Makes sense that they would eventually bring out the long knives for conservative talk radio, even though it's profitable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
For a few years now, seeing how MSM has reported various terrorist attacks, and failed to report "honor killings" and other atrocities, I've been theorizing that some media outlets were getting under-the-table Saudi money.

Lee's letter suggests otherwise:
"I WILL tell you, in all candor, that thanks to Mr. Suleiman's Citadel management, I could no longer proudly say that the company had never told me what to say or what not to say."
I stopped listening to WABC in NY when they starting letting go of all the old timers. Imus Sucks, so does Joe Scarborough. I listen to RUSH on the Internet. No Hannity.I used to love Mark, but for a conservative (?) constitionalist, he won’t talk about the BC at all. He also won’t say nothing much if anything about all the other docs OB won’t reveal. I do worry about his heart, with all that anger he has, which is justified.
At this point I only listen to John Bachelor at 9PM-1AM.
And don’t forget awhile ago we heard about radio hosts were threatened with their jobs if they mentioned the BC.
I am not aware of what goes on around the countries other talk stations around the radio, but it seems the Muzzies are getting their hand in a little bit of everything including radio and cable TV(fox).
