You know, I've just about had it with Mr. 'Due Diligence', Mr "Research your brains out', Glenn Beck --mercilessly going after the genuine questions about Obama's veiled past as "lunatic", fringe, insane--including the MIA birth certificate and the missing, contradictory and veiled Obama personal, professional and academic records.
He and O'Reilly are beginning to protest too damn much...the TRUTH of the matter is that there are LEGION of murky questions surroundiong Obama. It is conspicuously bizarre the way they are behaving about it--overdoing the "hostility", the ridicule.
Since Beck is so quick to castigate and dismiss the so-called much maligned, "birthers"---then PROVE it is nonsense with real hard core data and info--debunk the swirl with counter-evidence--answer the gaps--let's see one of his famous research shows on this 'raging through the underground' topic, eh?
WHY NOT BECK?
Citizens should be ablke to ask these questions. These people work for us. Obviously Hussein is working to destroy us.
Did you see this about Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal wanting to expand his “alliances” with Murdoch News Corp?
When you find a court of law that dignifies this nonsense with anything other than a prompt and/or scathing dismissal, let us know.
To hell with Beck, and I’m starting to think, “To hell with eligbility.”
Remember what brought Nixon down? No, not a bungled burglary of the Watergate Hotel. It was the breadth, depth, and audacity of the COVER-UP.
Coming soon to putative POTUS near you.
obumpa
“Actually, on the contrary, with their self inflated egos, they will claim that they all along knew this and had exclusive information on it that they were the first ones to let us know about it.”
No cr@p will hit the fan over this, bambi won't go over this, and there will be no riots. With a little luck, he will simply lose his reelection bid in 2012 and the country will move on, never having paid any particular attention to all this quasi-apocalyptic nonsense.
We used to schedule our afternoon around Beck and O'Reilly, but now we watch Neil Cavuto and turn off the TV. Both Beck and O'Reilly are dancing to the same drummer. Beck, after all, is the one who told his viewers to question boldly and not relent until we got answers. This question was, after all, required of McCain.
Snips: Now that the New York Times has run an article raising the question of whether John McCain's birth in the Panama Canal Zone to two American-citizen parents, at a time when the Canal Zone was an American territory, makes him ineligible to be President, I guess we have to take the issue seriously. If the Old Gray Lady speaks, we must listen. (Or was that E. F. Hutton?) Anyway, is McCain a "natural born citizen"? And who decides?
Jill Pryor, the Atlanta lawyer mentioned in the Times article, wrote a good note on the topic for the Yale Law Journal: 97 Yale L.J. 881. Her conclusion was that Congress ought to be permitted to settle the question by legislation. Congress did so in 1790, by its Act of March 26, 1790, 1 Stat. 103, when it unequivocally declared that a person born abroad to American parents was a natural born citizen. Even if you don't buy Pryor's argument, the 1790 act is a pretty good indication of what the Framers meant by a natural born citizen.
She not only disagreed with O Reilly but seemed pretty annoyed with him.
O’Reilly backtracked on his claim he saw BO’s BC about 10 days speaking with Beck ago saying he saw only an image as I recall.
Good to hear that DT.
Since the Supreme Court has never emphatically given an opinion as to the intent of the Framers with regard to A2 and has never entertained a case asking for one, the question is still on the table. Obama is not the first candidate who was ever questioned and this comes even after legislation because the door on the interpretation against the Constitution hasn't been shut by the Supreme Court. The Fourteenth Amendment doesn't do it and Wong Kim Ark doesn't do it.
While Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly would love to paint everyone into the looney fringe corner, I think it says a lot when a person such as Sarah Palin refuses to allow them to judge her into the padded room they were looking to do.
The eligibility issue is a constitutional one and she knows it. It's Beck and O'Reilly, whom while claiming to love that Constitution so much, are the ones who are dissing it by categorizing ANYONE as a lunatic who wants simple answers.
I personally wouldn't have adopted this label of "birther" that the media used as a definition for those who emphatically don't believe Obama was born here because it's not a proven fact. This "birther" organization did just that and now they have to live with the consequences of agreeing with the media label. It was a stupid idea on that TeoBear's part and an even stupider idea on Apuzzo/Kerchner's part to advertise for him.
I'm not a "birther". I'm definitely not a "9/11 Truther". But I'm certainly smart enough to know that something is going on with the non-answers of eligibility that the Senate started back in February, 2008 and attempted to squash before it got out of hand. Well, now it's out of hand but it's CONGRESS' fault, not the people's fault.
That's a problem of facts that you will never hear on Glenn Beck or Bill O'Reilly's show.
There's a similar thread where we talked about this same thing on FP here: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2335055/posts - See last comments if you don't want to read the whole thing.
So then Article II of the Constitution is nonsense.
I remember O’Reilly saying recently (about 10 days ago or so) that he saw a “facsimile” of the birth certificate. But I do not think he said where the facsimile came from (FightTheSmears?, Annenberg’s FactCheck?, the White House Communications office?).
Here is BOR's exact quote:
"I think the reason they didn't ever produce the birth certificate is because they wanted these loons out there"
Silly me, I thought I had heard that BOR had SEEN the birth certificate??!!?? Anyone? Bueller??
No. Your attempts to insist that it can only mean what you want it to mean are nonsense.
Don’t diss NautiNurse. She is neither blind, nor a fool.
This story is too hot to keep quiet for another year. Either one of the lawsuits gets through or Hayworth makes this an issue against McCain. See tagline.
