"24" Themed Countdown Clock (1 Minute)
Set in New York City, "Day Eight" unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations as President Allison Taylor (Jones), alongside new chief of staff ROB WEISS (Chris Diamantopoulos), negotiates international security with OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor), a determined Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a peacemaking mission. As the new day begins, an upgraded CTU operates under the command of M.B.A.-schooled, razor-sharp head honcho BRIAN HASTINGS (Mykelti Williamson), who supervises quirky CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub), expert data analyst DANA WALSH (Katee Sackhoff) and systems analyst ARLO GLASS (John Boyd).
COLE ORTIZ (Freddie Prinze Jr.), an ex-Marine who wants to follow in Bauer's footsteps, leads field operations while Agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) returns with an agenda of her own. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions.

Guy went to kill a dead witness, and even though he stole a gun he still wanted to blow himself up instead of just shooting. After that failed and he shot the dead man, he jumped out of a 3rd story window and ran away from the hospital through a door that lead directly into a hospital room with an open hyperbaric chamber that could be locked from the inside.
Now he’s in the chamber trying to set off his explosives to kill himself, rather than simply slashing his wrists or stabbing himself with the bed poles he keeps breaking off.
The bad guys are talking to him on his super-cell-phone that works through hyperbaric chambers and that the CTU can’t seem to block (or maybe they didn’t think to do that), and the bad guys have access to an impressive set of security cameras monitoring the hyperbaric chamber, which was so important that it was left unattended with an unlocked outside door.
Not sure that would help understand what is happening.....

Meanwhile, I thought he smashed the cameras, how did they fix them?
