But I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for President Ford because, as an aspiring broadcaster, I was allowed a 20 minute interview with him, live radio, when he came to Illinois during his re-election campaign.....

i voted for ford. having read the book “write it when i’m gone” i find ford to be a much more complex and conservative and honest president than most of the others. he meant well but he really wasn’t cut out for a job he never really wanted in the first place.
