He’s a man. He turns into a wolf. He likes to rip people down to juicy, throbbing red cutlets. What more do you require in a movie?

The latest “Wolfman” movie, starring Benicio Del Toro as the four-footed terror of the forest, comes to us amid howls of bad buzz. Mid-February has become the official dumping ground for movies, originally envisioned as summer blockbusters, that didn’t quite pan out — movies like Ghost Rider, The Pink Panther, and He’s Just Not That Into You.

The Wolfman was supposed to come bounding and roaring into theaters back in 2008 but was sent back to the movie veterinarian to nurse its reported wounds.

What wounds? The movie being released in theaters is fast, vicious, scary fun. ...

Mr. Toro is all for communism apparently. Let the government go see his POS movie. I’ll never see anything with him in it again, unless it’s a 90 minute exposition of his genitals being tortured.

That probably has a special appeal to some folks, all in itself.

Could we PLEASE, as a culture, officially stop with the flippin' vampire and wolf-man crap?

It's done. It's over. It's not interesting. It barely ever was. It is a complete and total waste of human effort and it's annoying to people with functioning brains.

Well maybe it is fitting that he plays a nightmare creature.

At the very least, the wolfman is easily distinguishable as a monster. When the communist, the fascist, the dictator comes to me, the smile he wears is very much like my own. I find that infinitely scarier.

The most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on?

Nyaaaaa..... what’s up Doc? (Pulls a hole out of his pocket, lays it on the ground, and pursuer falls through the hole, emerging on the bottom of a cliff)

The budget on this movie was $120,000,000. Rick Baker's make-up was good, but Benito Del Toro was terrible casting. He looked drugged and bored, like he stumbled onto the wrong set and no one told him to leave.

First it was robots, then aliens, then magic, then vampires, then werecritters, then zombies... have to admit I am getting a little tired of it.

I guess we will swing back around to robots at some point.
