What does Palin need to do to lower her unfavoribles ?

Posted on 02/11/2010 4:11:59 PM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

Do a majority of Americans honestly believe she is stupid ? I mean, seriously ?

How can her unfavoribles be so high ? What did she do wrong ? What is she not doing right ?

What does she need to do ? Take a nationally televised IQ test ?

I don't understand why so many regular people think the way they do about her. What happened ?

your point is good. maybe libturd pollsters have to present one more accurate poll to retain credibility so as to have some credibility to hurt palin???

I don’t know. We’ll see. Ultimately SP I believe has enough weapons that she change all of this. If not, she will be fine in whateve she chooses to do. That is one thing, I hate the thought of her having to be president and deal with so many a-holes on the left

She should make a speech and intentionally say there are 57 states. When the media takes the bait and piles on, she can have the last laugh.

Yeah, some people have a lot of pain, a “darker” side, if you will. She’s been through a lot, I’m sure.

I know many celebrities and can confirm that most of them are in pain. It’s a part of life, but there are degrees.

Guilt over the “darker” side can cause a facade to form if they become afraid of people “seeing” this side of them.

They become guarded when in a situation they feel may “expose” them.

I have a feeling this might be part of it.

Counseling?

If she gets in touch with the pain, and becomes “real”, then, there’s your solemnity, your gravitas is automatic. She’s no longer afraid to show that side. Sadder, but wiser.

JUST A THEORY. JUST A THOUGHT. I’m not saying she’s crazy, or needs drugs, etc.

I have given this a lot of thought. I’d like her to win, but I must see evidence that she has this kind of depth.

BTW, It’s uncanny how similar she is to my mother, I mean, uncanny...looks, energy, voice, ‘n all.

Most of these post critical of Palin I believe are coming from four main sources:

1) The Paulista’s No explanation needed.

2) Berthers. And I’m talking about the hard-core tinfoil hat Berthers, not the rest of us. These are the ones who see Palin, Scott Brown, or any Republican as an enemy if they don’t latch on to their conspiracy theory or support their Berther candidates.

3) Scorched Earth Libertarians, who see Palin and Brown as a catalyst for the rebirth of the GOP, and a reborn GOP scares the hell out of them.

4) Hard-core Romney, or Huckster supporters still jealous of this young upstart from Eskimo country who knocked their person off the radar screen.

you asked, so I will tell you: it is Mitt’s turn in 2012. Everyone else get out of the way; you can run in the primary only to get your base excited for Mitt.

good grief, she references and footnotes from “very smart” people in her articles to support her own views (and for Katie, what she reads) and now that’s “not good enough”.

"Most of these post critical of Palin I believe are coming from four main sources:"

Ridiculous. I'm critical of Palin because I don't think she's earnest, nor do I believe she can beat Obama.

In the primary, I'm going to be supporting either Thune, Barbour, Pence or DeMint, not necessarily in that order. In the last election, I was a Thompson supporter. I think Ron Paul is an idiot. I think Mitt Romney is a Democrat, and I think Mike Huckabee is a charlatan.

If Palin wins the nomination, I'll send her money, I'll put up a sign, and I'll volunteer. But, your indictment of people who don't believe Palin to be the savior others apparently do, is farcical.

Voice coaching. She needs to lower her voice a bit. Stop with the nasally inflections. (Study Meg Whitman)

Lose “You betcha!” forever.

I also need her to forget she’s beautiful and go to work in these interviews. Stop talking AT the interviewer, and start talking TO the interviewer. She too often looks like she’s nervous at a job interview.

But, here's the thing also too, though.....

One more time, clearly for someone who didn't read the poll in question - why would the poll show overwhelming support for sinking Obamacare, for trying terrorists in military courts, and reflect falling poll numbers for Barack Obama?

At the top of the thread there is no specific poll in question. As far as poll numbers and Barry versus poll numbers and Palin are concerned, it's taken Barry over a year to have done so egregiously badly in screwing over the United States compared to the platform he ran on that his perception, in spite of a sycophant media, is starting to show up in polls. In contrast, Palin, is obviously drawing increasing numbers of supporters compared to over a year ago but amongst those who don't know any more about her than they did a year ago the polling is still able to build a response off that original lack of perception (or misperception, thanks Tina Fey and deliberately used interview techniques--thanks, Charlie Gibson).

No, read it again. I said “Most of these post” not all. And some of these I have seen are from the same people over and over again, and they most often are Ron Paul people that get these threads started.

My mistake. I thought that the poll was referenced. I've included a link to the entire poll below. It's quite interesting, plus it shows some historical context as well as the contemporary position on certain issues and the internals.

Thanks for sharing that with me. I think you can add RINOs and demrat lurkers to your list.

It’s interesting to see that when The Real McCoy comes along the fake McCoys and/or Hatfields go on the attack.

I think Palin is very clever in either ignoring the nonsense or addressing it in lighthearted way.

Many Freepers could beat her at Political Trivia.

Jimmuh Cartuh could beat her at political trivia too. So what does that prove.

She needs to do nothing but project herself in venues that override the polluted MSM. Like the recent speech, where they were relegated to the status of the audience. They were reduced to what--kvetching about her notes on her hand.

The woman speaks for herself, and the common man relates to her instantly. If this keeps up, the media's slimey attacks will begin to blow up in their own pustulent faces, as the average American will begin to realize, an attack on Sarah Palin is an attack on them and their own values.

That sh*t won't fly for long. Soon it will be a replay of the Limbaugh Effect--the more virulent and hateful the attack against him, the more popular he becomes. Idiot liberals never get that until it is too late--more proof the God hates liberals and makes them stupid.

I think there is a fair amount of sexism in these questions about Governor Palin’s qualification to be POTUS.

Does the media, or heck even most Conservatives, EVER question the qualifications of Mitt Romney, Huckster, Hunter, Thune, Pawlenty etc? My gosh, they were even pimping Scott Brown for POTUS.

But Governor Palin is somehow not qualified!?

I’ll question the Conservative credentials and commitment to those beliefs of Romney, Huckster and a few others, but I would never question if they are qualified.

“How can her unfavoribles be so high ? What did she do wrong ? What is she not doing right ? What does she need to do ?”

Palin was nailed by the Masters of Pop Culture. To get people to take “a second look” after they pigeon hole someone is very difficult. This will take time to undo. She is doing the right thing now. I don't think she should “push” to demonstrate her smarts.

She needs to keep speaking in public, and she will. She needs to support the right people, and she will. She should keep drawing the crazy criticisms. The hand notes were brilliant. This will take time, like I said, but the bias of her attackers will slowly backfire on them.

Palin does not need to run is 2012. Larger factors will determine if BHO has a chance. Palin needs to help make sure no RINO gets the nomination. From there, she could take a cabinet level position.

Palin, right now, is in the perfect place. Providence?

The number is but a meaningless attempt to glom onto her coat tails by a talentless hack.
