Susan Boyle rejects her plans to move to a more luxurious apartment, because of her beloved cat. Despite the council house in Scotland is being broken into, her pet cat Pebbles does not want a change.
Pebbles has lived here all her life in that house and the cat hates upping sticks, says Boyle. So she has declined the offer of Sony Music , to rent a 10 million-pound mansion, in an exclusive Californian community .
Sony promised flying the cat to California, but Boyle feared that her pet might not survive the flight or be able to settle by the ocean. Though Sony also granted a housekeeper, assistant and a chauffeur, she did not accepted the offer. Boyles' friends say that she is such a home-buddy who is never ready to leave her kith and kin.
this woman is repeatedly showing why she did not make it earlier. she is strange. cats adapt. i am sure she could afford a flight where she could even keep her cat on her lap if she wanted.
There can be no question this woman is more than a bit daft.
I loved my kitties, but they never “told me” they didn’t want to move.
At first they moan and complain about the change, but after a while they settle in to the new place. It is what cats do.
That would be "homebody", friends in India.
I hope this woman survives her fame. She has touched many hearts.
Some do, some don't. Ours sobbed and wailed like a baby for weeks after we moved, starting at dawn. I would have to get up and hold her and walk her like a colicky baby.
Some of the people in her village claim she was injured at birth and has always been a bit slow. Her parish priest says he has looked out for her since her parents died.
I am glad she is staying in her home, CA would not be a good place for her.
Sometimes less is more.
I loved her initial performance, and presentation.
Sometines the dreams of making it big in the future are a lot better than the cost of making it big.
Beautiful voice, very strange woman.
I can understand that. They say "up to 25 lbs," and they've only got 10 lbs in 'em so far...
I would hate it too; sounds painful in the anal area.
"...Ours sobbed and wailed like a baby for weeks after we moved, starting at dawn. I would have to get up and hold her and walk her like a colicky baby...
Our cat did that too. I thought I was the only one whose cat was a big puss! Even now she waits for me to get home everyday, and she presents herself at the driveway, mewing sadly and loudly. Before I even go inside the house I have to pick her up and hug her for a few minutes to make her shut the hell up!
When I moved my cat went into my bedroom closet for 3 days. She finally came out and got used to it. It’s a cat. They eat mice and crickets they can pretty much put up with anything.
when I moved I had two cats. My mother moved in with me. One cat, a big siamese, hid in the basement for a couple of weeks. Then went up stairs and said “YOU old lady, you are MINE” He follows her everywhere and sleeps on he lap when she watches TV. Too Funny
upping sticks
No one and nothing can kvetch like a cat!
Do you get “why is my Sun not out today? Where did you put it?” complaints?
upping sticks
Pull up stakes.
I get a cat that jumps up on the chair near the trash can and meows very loudly if I try to throw out any kind of crinkly plastic. She’ll actually go into the trash can for it.
God blessed her with beautiful voice. The lime light is overwhelming at best. Give her a break. She will use her voice in her own time.
A few years ago I remember reading a comment by one of the world's great opera singers. Sorry, not recalling her name at this moment. I believe she was from Australia. Her comment was, about what a burden it was to possess one of the worlds great voices. The demands were many. It is necessary to keep practiced and strong, etc..
The cat has lived there all it’s life. So how does she know the cat doesn’t like moving?
“cats adapt.”
Not as you hope or think.
Cats stress out easily which can cause them to die right there and then.
