...that Audi eco-nazi commercial sent the wrong message at our house...there's too much of that going on right now as it is...I don't need a glimpse into an eco-totalitarian future...I guess the Europeans thought it was very clever, but it disgusted me.
I am of the opinion that claiming my automobile is “greener” (if I am an auto manufacturer) is just another marketing gimmick. It’s not Audi’s responsibilty to warn us of the dangers of the “green” movement (unless Audi determines it is a threat to its bottom-line).
“Had to love the Bud commercial with the Clydesdale and the baby steer!!”

Me, too! I have a colt and a heifer that act like that. Very cute. I also loved the dog Dorito ad.
The Green Police wasn’t funny when I watched but now I see that it was poking fun at Global Warming and Socialism.
television is of the devil
Yes,BLAM<BLAM<BLAM,nice grouping daddy.
You missed the intense sarcasm on the website?
How much sleep do you get?
Way too many guys in underwear and way too many animals. Now if the gopher and the beaver wore men’s undies, that might have worked, but otherwise stupid.
Hello, ad-men! Animals are only funny when they DO something! I would have liked hearing “Pants On The Ground” with a bunch of animals advertised Dockers or CarMax. Sh@t, we should write these ads.
I don’t know if it’s a spoof or a promotion of those “values”.
1 could argue they’re saying you can avoid all this molestation (i.e., take the wienie way out rather than standing up to it) by getting our “green” car.
But 1 could also say they’re advocating all of it.
Definitely I hate and despise the “green”(red) religious revolution. I HATE it.
It is a perfect anti-Obama ad, as long as you leave the Audi out of it!
“maybe (it) isnt very good when you spend all that money and your audience isnt sure what the message is.”
BINGO.
>> Well - I thought the Audi commercial was GREAT!... What better way to educate the masses what the Liberal-Progressive-Leftists have in store for us... The Green Police..
The message is pretty clear - let the Greens take over and your life will be very limited... Or - drive a DIESEL Vehicle - that liberals - leftists - Progressives absolutely HATE yes you can be Green - in a sensible way ... get 42mpg. the conventional way - with carbon based fuel.... <<
Dittoes Here!
The Green Police was a name used in Nazi Germany to refer to the German Order Police, or Orpo, who were given the moniker because of their green uniforms. The Orpo weren't merely traffic cops, however. According to the Jewish Virtual Library, one battalion was central in sending Jews, Poles and Gypsies to concentration camps.
While the mock PSAs are humorous, with a shtick that leans more toward Reno 911! than Schindler's List, it's certainly never fortuitous for a German company to bring up reminders of the Third Reich. Still, it's likely that most U.S. viewers won't connect the "Green Police" in their history books with the ones in Audi's Super Bowl ad promoting its A3 TDI clean-diesel vehicle.
I did like the little beaver or gopher, or whatever he was, who played the fiddle.
I actually thought it was the funniest. Shows how stupid those eco-nazis really are.
I really thought they did well.
Audi did it brilliantly, mocking the crazies who want to kill business while producing something that moves us forward. Clean diesel with 42 mpg.
