This is NOT the way to run a grassroots party. I can fully understand why the little man feels left out of his own political movement. I attended several tea parties in the summer, and I never paid a cent to attend. This convention should be open to everyone and not only the ones that can afford it. What is the deal with having to pay Palin $100,000 to speak? She should be paying the tea party.

It is nice to have a friendly voice that does not need a teleprompter.

The pubbies need the Tea Partiers not to be independent, but to be under the pubbie tent.

It takes money to organize a more formal event. It’s a convention, and not a march on Washington.

This convention should be open to everyone and not only the ones that can afford it.I agree COMPLETELY.
What's with having way over on the east coast where it costs us a small fortune in travel and lodging.
That's total unfair, it should have been held in Kansas, closer for everyone.
PLUS it should be held in a 100,000 person arena, so that everyone who wanted to attend could, and not just those who are fortunate enough to get at the front of the line.

Tea partiers attack convention Four people can't afford to go, and that's the way YOU summed it up.

FWIW Fox News is playing Sarah Palin speaking at the convention right now.

Nothing precludes you from organizing as many events at you want. Why don’t you talk about that instead of attacking this event.
To: Nosterrex
She should be leading the party, but instead she is giving a $5,000 speech for $100,000. It’s sad; no wonder the GOP has the monopoly on conservatism while not being anything close to conservative.
To: Balding_Eagle
I agree with you, Balding Eagle.
Should’ve been held in Colorado!

It wasn’t on the east coast. It was in Nashville, TN.

Nashville, darn near on the Atlantic Ocean as seen from Colorado.

I don’t know about paying the speaker, but it must have cost something to rent a convention center.

Who is this interviewer?! I’ve seen better interviews from Huckabee. Maybe it’s because you’re more critical on your own, but this is being broadcast live around the world on Fox News and CNN. This should be a Q&A from the audience, not from this horrible interviewer.
