With ABC landing the past three Obama interviews among the broadcast networks, CBS is now striking back.
Katie Couric, who's been in the news already today, will interview President Obama live during Sunday's Super Bowl pre-game show, according to the network.

“Leak” time.
He just won’t go away. I thought he learned something there for a month or so...stay off TV and people won’t get sick of me so much. He can’t help himself...he has been on television non-stop since Christmas. People are getting really tired and annoyed with him.
What is that one commercial that has him in slow motion catching a football on the front lawn of the white house about kids exercising? It is so freaking creepy.
This is not going to go down well with football fans. The guy has a tin ear.
You must training for one of Obama's stimulus jobs! lol
I realize that the superbowl is a day when we can ‘all come together’ but as Susan Estrich says at http://www.creators.com/opinion/susan-estrich/focus-on-the-family.html
“So be it. I might go to the bathroom during that ad or make popcorn.”
You mean Perky Katie? You’d be perky too if you were making $350,000 per week.
I may... after 36 years and surviving jimmuh catah... my three businesses are failing due to obamunism.
LLS
Definitely will be the bathroom and refill-the-nachos-bowl break in our household! (Bathroom activities are definitely in order when Odumbo is on the screen!)
I can’t think of anything more disgusting than to have Odumbo’s mug on the TV during the festive, all-American event of the Super Bowl. Are they going to have posters of Che, Castro, Hugo-baby et al in the background of Odumbo? Is perky-Katie going to wear a diamond tiara?
Disgusting.
He had better not interrupt the Puppy Bowl!!!!
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully something will turn around for you.
O should insist that Couric pay a 75% tax on her salary.
Good. I hope he keeps it up until everyone is sick of looking at him.
“I usually dont watch the pre-game, post-game and halftime stuff anyway.”
There’s always “Puppy Bowl” on the animal channel.
Mrs Pess and I would rather watch those clowns anyway. :)
Wow, even with my team in the Superbowl, I will avoid the pregame.
Thanks for the reminder re: the Puppy Bowl. I’ve watched that a few times and they are fun.
Yeah, but my football crowd has incorporated it into the football expeience as something respond to. Part of the running pater and wisecracks are pointing out inane, incorrect and "stating the obvious" dumb comments from the announcers. Sort of like a bad movie to do a Mystery Science Theater 3000 thing on. And it allows you to point out some nuance or formation that is being effective about five minutes before the "expert" picks up on it and then you look like a genius to all your buddies and especially the less football astute in the crowd.
Heck, I’ll pretend to be perky for $350,000 a year!
Well here's a sneak peak at the half-time show.
