If it was German history month and someone had German food on the menu no one would bat an eye.
What the freaking hell?

Nobody should do anything nice for anyone any more. That way, nobody will be offended.
[actually, it was the sign that was the snafu, not the food, IMHO, and if I’ve offended anyone with that statement, please accept my apologies, eat dirt and die!]

I am offended every St Patricks day when corned beef and cabbage is served up. I feel as though my ancestors have been insulted. Especially if there is beer as well.

Is anyone else getting as tired of this PC crap as I am? So what the hell is wrong with chicken for black people? Do we have to change the name of watermelon now too because people relate that with black people? Good grief, this is as stupid as banning the Confederate Flag which is a real part of American history just because the NAACP wants to erase that part of our history.

Things Black People shouldn't do because it offends White people and Black People who hang around with White People that are offended by what White People think Black People shouldn't do.
1. Eat Fried chicken.
2. Eat Watermelon.
3. Eat Greens.
4. Eat cornbread.
5. Speak without a Negro Dialect.
6. Support the conviction of any Black person found guilty of of a crime.
7. Buy fast food.

I guess this means no cherry pie on Washington's birthday and no corn beef and cabbage on St Patrick's day.
When will these people ever get a life, get an education, and realize what is important in life?

So, just what is it about fried chicken that is racist? I grew up in the preintegration period in the mid-south when blacks and whites alike ate very delicious foods such as friend chicken, greens and watermelon. Jokes were made of both races for being backward, but we knew better.
To: Justaham
What the &*%$# is this %$#@head bitching about? I was raised in the South and I LOVE that menu. I wish I could get that at my cafeteria in Colorado.

I truly don’t understand why this is demeaning.
If there was a German history month, and NBC’s cafeteria featured spaetzle, zauerbraten and weinerschnitzel, I would not be offended.
If in fact fried chicken is a popular food in black American culture, where is the insult?
