I am offended every St Patricks day when corned beef and cabbage is served up. I feel as though my ancestors have been insulted. Especially if there is beer as well.
Your ancestors wouldn’t have been insulted because corned beef is not now, nor ever was, an Irish dish. Matter of fact one would be hard pressed to find any Irish person who actually likes it, let alone purchase it. I have never seen it on a menu at any Irish restaurant or pub.
