Here is video showing the dangers of being so heavily dependent on a teleprompter. President Obama was speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast and was telling about a Navy Corpsman who assisted the suffering people of Haiti. But as his head bobbed back and forth between his two teleprompters, he read the word "Corpsman" and pronounced it "Corpse Man" twice. . . . (VIDEO)

Heard some comments today that "Harvard" elites (Obama) actually pronounce "Corps" as "corpse," though I'm really not thinking that this is the case here.

What I believe is that the "O-in-Chief" hasn't ever read that word out loud, else he might make the connection to the words "Esprit 'd Corps." A term that even Harvard elites might use while speaking, from time to time.

Unless uses the phrase in writing and realizes that it, like many foreign words (French in this case) are actually spelled differently than they are pronounced, might make that error.

Evidently, Obama either didn't practice this piece written by another, in front of someone who actually knew the difference and corrected him before he made the blunder, or the other option, Obama did practice in front of someone, who didn't know the correct pronunciation either!

Whatever the true situation is, Obama obviously did not write this missive, used a person who did know what the word was and its correct pronunciation but never managed to get "speech coaching" before making a real blunder in front of others and cameras that were sending out over the airwaves for millions of viewers to recognize his blunder!

Here’s an earlier Obama “Corpse-Man” video from October 26, 2009, Jacksonville Florida:

so tempted...perhaps a ‘dead fish’ comment would be appropriate?

but I wouldn’t want to offend retards by the comparison...

“This is not the first time he has referred to corp men as corpse man.
The last time it happen it stirred up a heck of a lot of comments on FR.

Wish I could remember when he said it last.”

It was back in October.

Obama pronounces Navy Corpsman, Navy ‘Corpse’ men.

I blame the teleprompter! Someone make sure the next time he references an O-6, the telemprompter spells it k-e-r-n-e-l!

Here is a simple explanation of BO’s use of the term corpse-man. Obama is from Chicago where the dead are among the most loyal democratic voters. BO must have gotten the Navy Corpsman confused with one of his many corpse-man constituents.
