DETROIT (AP) -- Two artists who have encased one of Detroit's thousands of abandoned homes in ice are hoping their effort inspires and helps draw attention to the housing crisis that has battered the nation.
Photographer Gregory Holm and architect Matthew Radune (Ray-DOON') have spent weeks spraying water on the home for the Ice House Detroit project. They plan to bring in large lights Friday to illuminate the house.

Woulda been nice if they had sent all that water out to central California where it’s needed instead of wasting it on ‘art’!!

Ask the artists HOW Detroit got into such a mess?
Government and unions.
Democrat solution? More government and more unions.
To: JoeProBono

It looks like there was a fire and ice was from water used to put the fire out.

More of Obama’s stimulus money at work. Detroit the arm pit of Michigan. The last one to leave Detroit, remember to turn off the lights when leaving. As Detroit so goes the nation. Rat Government and the Unions really have created Detroit - broke

Photographer Gregory Holm and architect Matthew Radune (Ray-DOON') have spent weeks spraying water on the home for the Ice House Detroit project. But make sure you never use more than 1.6 gallons of water to flush your toilet...

Democrat solution? More government and more unions. Exactly. And the democrat solution for huge deficits? Spend more! Riiiight. I mean, that's what I do when deep in debt. I say to my wife, honey we are in real trouble with all of these bills, what should we do? And we always agree, lets go out and buy a new car! A new plasma 52 inch TV! That's the ticket. Then we can file for bankruptcy and poof! no more debt!
Insanity.

Let’s see. It’s Detroit, so the cost of the water to make this “art” was probably higher than the property value itself.
